Avalon

Avalon - это довольно специфическая визуальная новелла для взрослых, рассказывающая историю о девушке по имени Авалон и её сводном дяде Байроне, у которых имеются свои психологические травмы и которым необходимо осознать их, принять и вместе двигаться вперёд, чтобы окончательно не погрузиться во тьму отчаянья и самобичевания. Это не классическая новелла 18+, это что-то среднее между сеансом психотерапевта, который проводит реабилитацию людей испытавших психологическую травму и историей, как два человека, имеющих травмирующий обоих опыт, поддерживая и заботясь друг о друге, могут исцелить терзающие их старые раны и показать путь выхода из той тьмы, что их окружает. В игре очень большое количество диалогов, читать придётся много, чтобы совсем "не загрузиться", автор разбавил диалоги шутками, немного чудаковатой детектившей по имени Пенни и весёлыми бандитами Мерсом и Лэнсом, при чём последние действительно смешные ребята. Рисовка в игре также отличается от привычной, это в основном касается женских персонажей, но это не делает их менее привлекательными, просто она отличается. Вся игра состоит из семи актов и акта "что если?", а также 4 моно сцены из жизни лесби детектива Пенни. Выбор в игре есть, но по сути на игру влияет только один в первом акте (это выбор между двумя девушками, которые будут помогать Авалон и Байрону выходить из тьмы их проблем на свет) из-за этого потребуется пройти игру дважды, остальные это просто дополнительные диалоги. Анимация, как и сцены 18+ в игре присутствуют, но если сравнивать с количеством сцен на игровое время получится, как "кот на плакал", то есть очень мало. Ещё в игре отсутствует русская локализация, благо на просторах интернета имеется хороший любительский перевод, поэтому если решите поиграть, сперва надо искать перевод. Из приятных мелочей в игре только 13 достижений Steam и всё, остального нет от слова совсем. Рекомендовал бы я данную игру только в том случае, если вы любитель психотерапевтических фетишей, Вам важна история и раскрытие характеров персонажей и всё такое прочее, а контент 18+ просто приятное дополнение ко всему этому. P.S. Играйте только в хорошие игры и получайте от этого удовольствие!

Awesome game! Or should I say: wholesome? The game leaves you with a warm, loving feeling. Also lots of humor. Often cheesy and dad jokes but still funny. About the adult content: this is a game you play for the story. The adult stuff is still great, imo, But not the selling point. Animations are few and short. Graphics are great, not superb. There are some 15-20 adult scenes. But only 7 or so go all the way till 4th base; it is not *that* sort of game where the story is just to get you from one adult scene to the next a.s.a.p. Also, be aware this is sort of an interactive movie with few endings; there are very few choices that will impact the storyline. So with that, replayability is low. But I still most certainly enjoyed it and recommend it. And if you like seeing a big, bearded muscle guy doing it with petite 18yr olds, this is the game for you.

Avalon is flawed, but a worthwhile AVN regardless. To start off with the flaws: The titular character Avalon has been sexually abused. Months later, she reunites with her (non-biological) uncle, and starts living with him. Sexual tension happens. So far, so good. This uncle has his own baggage, and deals with insecurities with quips and jokes. And here the writing falls apart in the early episodes of this game. The first night Avalon stays at MC's place, he goes in for a hug, and she gets triggered. The next night they're kissing and teasing/flirting with each other already. MC jokes about ravaging her, which she... finds arousing. I'm all for having a story about a woman turning her trauma into a strength, but the first episodes feel too fast-paced and weird. The later episodes allude to how broken Avalon feels, but it isn't really shown. If MC's quips about tearing off her clothes would've triggered her, there would've been a chance for character growth and adult conversations. Instead, we get a few lines of adult conversation that feel very out of character because they're surrounded by thousand words of jokes. Episode 3-4 onward are excellent, and they manage to frame the earlier episodes in a way that their behavior is understandable. I don't know if this was by design or a reaction to player remarks during development. Or maybe the writer just got better. What I really like about Avalon the game, is that there are 2 major choices to make, and the player is fully informed of what the consequences are. These choices let you play through the story 4 times. One choice lets you pick a different companion, the other choice is between monogamy or polyamory. All 4 'endings' are satisfying, except that I feel Leah's and MC's issues aren't resolved. What happened between those two in the past has a large impact on the MC of today, and I would've loved to have explored that further. At the end of the game, there is a "what if..." story, where Leah and MC decide to take the plunge, and it tells the alternative story of what would've happened. The writing and pacing of this episode is excellent. With the low price of Avalon, I would buy the game for this episode alone. Graphically I really like the game as well. While there are rare flaws, like a missing leg, or a window with a weird outside perspective, the scenes are polished and detailed. The dev also managed to convey the notion of movement between stills, which I very much appreciate. The erotic scenes themselves aren't very varied or long, but they fit this type of game perfectly. The character models themselves are great. I'm tired of seeing F-cup women, if you're like me and enjoy athletic, petite or nubile bodies, then this is the game for you. Sadly, the MC didn't get the same trend-bucking treatment, and has a 3rd arm between his legs. MC's length and girth are often referenced during erotic scenes, I assume for comedic effect. Sadly this misses the mark for me, giving these scenes a certain porn quality. Specially for Avalon I would've liked a more tender approach instead of "you're splitting me apart".

The story is dumb as a rock but the scenes are good.

Если же тенденция к увеличению региональных цен продолжится, то дождитесь скидки и покупайте ей смело рублей за 150-200. Не пожалеете. Данная новелла делает упор на реабилитации людей испытавших в жизни травмирующий опыт и пытается дать пример того как к этому опыту стоит относится и как возможно его получится побороть. Получилось конечно не идеально, в повествовании введён зачем то откровенно мэри сьюшный персонаж, иногда диалоги слишком усердно пытаются разбавить юмором, но в целом игра ощущается вполне себе приятно. Чем же может порадовать это игра и чем она может увлечь нас в наше тревожное время? 1) На 1 полное прохождение уйдёт примерно 7 часов. Потенциально в игре присутствует серьёзная развилка в начале игры и благодаря ей у вас может возникнуть желание прочитать новеллу второй раз. 2) В первую очередь перед нами новелла, а потом уже 18+ контент. Поэтому сцене не так много как хотелось бы. Официально их 25, но субъективно некоторые из них так сказать специфичны и лично для меня их осталось в разы меньше. 3) Не идеальный, но приятный сюжет. 4) Прописанные персонажи и одна мери сью! 5) Средняя графика, но к ней быстро привыкаешь и она уже не так сильно режет глаза. Мелкие недочёты которые хотелось бы чтобы автор исправил: 1) Отсутствие русификации. Для меня лично это не проблема, но если бы она была, то это бы явно пошло игре на пользу. 2) Хотелось бы чтобы автор добавил карточки.

The graphics are poor, characters seem boring and cliché, and the story has such, for lack of a better term, rapey vibes. It's an AVN, ok, but it feels disgusting whenever it's not boring. ANd yeah, 19 minutes was all it took to never touch it again.
