I know this game is cheap, that the aesthetics look pretty nice and that the atmosphere itself sounds and feels adequate for most scenarios. But I can't recommend this since the controls are, simply put, terribly designed.
Not only does the jump feel way too short in height to the point where many platforms are just too short out of range for intended progression, but the power ups themselves don't work properly. The ones that are supposed to attract platforms have a very flimsy range and sometimes it doesn't seem to register the hit box of the objective. Others, the drone will just slip through them or maybe another platform will in order to let you pass, and you then stand there wondering if it's a bug or a feature.
If it's the latter then that's worse considering that the annoying robot's dialogue doesn't tell you anything remotely useful at all throughout the whole campaign. It only makes stupid commentary that break the immersion of the desolate scenery of the ruins. I started the game hoping to complete it but by the half hour mark I was so frustrated by having 90% of my deaths being controls related that I almost gave up. But I decided to push forward to at least see the ending and 3 hours and 100+ deaths I was left... utterly disappointed.
If any of the devs are reading this, I very highly recommend you patch this in some way. Even if I have no desire at all to go back to it, new players will thank you if you do so. Otherwise, don't buy this until it's fixed.
