It's like NES Remix and the Warioware franchise but for Atari. Cool as L. Just 2 small criticisms; 1. you can't play the originals at all. 2. you can't play the remasters outside the minigames.

If you have come to the store page for this game then it is a safe assumption that you have an interest in retro gaming, if that is the case then it's probably best you ignore this game. It has cobbled together cheap imitations of IP's that many people know and love and for the life of me I cannot figure out why, given that Atari owns the rights to said titles, they didn't just use the original source material. What you are left with is a hollow collection of flash games that is trying to emulate a beloved franchise that has been weakly strung together with a half baked narrative. None of this mentions the poor controls, weak attempts at humour or the blatantly forced nostalgia drive. I wanted to enjoy this game but even having bought it on sale I still think I paid too much.

GenXers feel the warm buzz of nostalgia not entirely due to weed. Far more FUN than having to play Tank Battle on the VCS 2600 by yourself. Easy-to-use controls for those of us who remember pre-arthritic days playing with one-button joysticks. WE DIDNT NEED EXTRA BUTTONS!

I have to say that I was a bit nervous buying this game a full price given some of the negative reviews surrounding control issues, but I noted that the Developer had indicated that they had released a match to fix these issues. I have to say that I am glad I took the chance, as I am absolutely addicted to this game so far. That is surprising given that I love mini/microgames in the style of Warioware an I love retro Atari games.

The controls are TOTAL CRAP. Unplayable with keyboard. Plugged in a controller but still really bad. Mini games are timed and suck. Good idea with the curation of the game, terrible execution. Controls totally suck. DONT BUY IT EVEN FOR $1. its just a waste of time to play. PS> Received as a xmas gift and promtly refunded it.

i thought this was a fun idea. there is some truth to the controls being kind of jank, but they're not broken, just some of the games are 4 directions only. part of the fun of collections like this is that the games are a little janky. it was a fun little story. once i sat down to play on a day off i basically played all day, i finished it so don't play it if you're looking for a 100 hour epic, but its fun while it lasts and charming

My two biggest criticisms; 1. you can't play the original at all, or these "remastered" versions in any capacity aside from the microgame playlist format. You can't just pick one to play it specifically, but that's pretty standard for the microgame genre. And 2. some of the "remastered" versions are just a bit too remastered, in my opinion, and there is some inconsistency in how they looked. Some games / environments / characters have some more definition but are still very much blocky pixelated early-mid 80s Atari graphics, but others are somewhat too detailed, as if they are from a different era entirely. Still had a lot of fun, found the games very enjoyable, and really liked finding all the classic cover art (which is gorgeous) and manuals. Microgames; here for a good time, not a long time. Regarding other reviews complaints about controls? Or supposedly too much luck / randomness involved? I assure you, 100%, "skill issue".

J'ai retrouvé le plaisir de mon enfance. Des petits jeux simples et efficaces. l'univers Atari 2600 de ma jeunesse avec plein de petit défi qui ne sont pas si simple que ça. je remercie énormément l’équipe de développement pour ce jeu. la nostalgie a été efficace. ne vous basez pas sur les évaluations, franchement ce jeu est très efficace si vous avez connu l'atari 2600.

Like warioware but with atari themes. Only real gripe is the inability to play the base games in the new art style
