Astronomy3D: Artemis II turns selected photographs from humanity's return to the Moon's vicinity into an interactive 3D space you can explore and fly through.

During the nearly 10-day journey around the Moon in April 2026, thousands of photographs documented the mission from launch to return. Astronomy3D: Artemis II brings together more than 2,900 of the best images in a carefully selected collection — from distant views of Earth to the Moon's far side, ancient craters, earthrise, earthset, and a solar eclipse — presented as a ready-made 3D photo experience.

What this is not

Astronomy3D: Artemis II is a dedicated viewer for a curated selection of Artemis II mission photography. It is not a mission simulator, and it does not let you create or edit projects, import your own photos, or alter the included collection. About Artemis II

Artemis II was the first crewed flight of NASA's Space Launch System rocket and Orion spacecraft. Its four-person crew launched on April 1, 2026, flew around the Moon, and returned safely to Earth on April 10. The mission tested the systems and operations needed for future human exploration of the Moon while providing extraordinary views of Earth, deep space, and lunar terrain unseen from Earth.
