Astro Nova's a great arcade-style shooter with two impressive upgrade and meta-upgrade trees, short intense levels & plenty of variety. Collect weapon & ability boosts through levels and upgrade your ship between runs. This one's no auto-shooter. You'll need to manually aim and fire your primary & secondary weapons, your boost, your ultimate... Astro Nova was a really interesting mix of bullet hell gameplay and choice-based RPG elements where you keep buffing your ship each run. The ascension (prestige) system is actually pretty solid and gives a nice sense of long-term progression. It kept things feeling fresh instead of repetitive, and overall the game stayed engaging the whole time. It was honestly pretty addictive without dragging on longer than it should. That said, having to ascend over and over again and restart from scratch got a bit frustrating at times, especially when it felt like I was just repeating the same grind to move forward.

A solid Asteroids-like roguelike!. Fun and engaging for its 3 hour playtime with some sweet music! There's not really a story or many game-changing upgrades, but there doesn't need to be for a short runtime. 8/10
Cool game idea! I played for a bit and enjoyed the progression, will continue to play <3

Very challenging game. Great little game to melt your time away. Great game to play when you're camping a named spawn. A little addicting until you beat it. Beating it will be very difficult.
I played the demo on ArmorGames and loved it. The game has a nice balance throughout. I love progression games like this and the developers did a great job.
