Before I played Asteroids 44 (For Four), I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
Asteroids 44 is a decent Asteroids clone with some major caveats: The turning speed is way too slow. The cutscene between levels takes almost 20 seconds and slows the game down unnecessarily. Achievements don't work. I enjoyed how chaotic the levels got in a very short amount of time and the power ups are a nice addition. Because this is free, I will barely recommend it.

Asteroids 44 is an unabashed, lazy ripoff of Asteroids (Copyright Atari, 1979). Many lazy "amateur" developers don't pay attention to their obligations under copyright law, and often steal the ideas of actual, real game developers without credit, such as the "developer" here has done. At this stage no legal action has been taken by Atari against the "developer" here, but it's never off the table, as previous copyright law cases have shown. Absolutely this game breaches both Atari's copyrights and trademarks for the Asteroids game, and in some states and parts of the world this flagrant violation of international copyright law is a criminal offense. Putting aside the unethical intellectual bankruptcy of stealing someone else's game concept for profit, this is also breaking that unwritten law of stealing other people's game ideas... you should at least try to do better than the game you're ripping off. This is much, much worse than Atari's classic Asteroids game. This features really godawful low poly "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating contemporary 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks much worse than most other games because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 5 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Absolutely not... and when Atari heears about this and takes action, it will be gone.
Dynamic gameplay. Multiplayer mode is the most fun. A bit too long wait for the start and the next level.

Oldschool game with a modern graphics and nice gameplay. The minimum requirements are exaggerated in GFX, but too low in memory. Running even a pure Win7 on 2 gigs is a real cumberstone. How to play on 2 gigs of memory? Anyway on computer with 3rd genetration of Core i5 and integrated Intel HD 4000 and 8 gigs of ram the game runs nice at about 15-20 fps, so no extraordinary GFX is needed on middle class processors. On i7 8th gen, 16 GB and Intel Iris 655 runs perfecly smooth. I would recommend developer to: - add more variability in gfx, those stones are repeating way too much; - develop animations to have more smooth transitions between neighboring sizes of stones; - change the difficulty - it's really hard to destroy all of the stones on 3rd or 4th level when te gun is so weak. - add a controls customization (!!!) to use arrows and other keys than K and L.
