I am going to clear up some stuff for new players (2026 and on) using Wheel and VR, I'm not sure how good the vanilla game is, i didn't play much before diving into CSP, Pure and adding some other MODs. So, when i say i recommend this game, i mean i recommend the community support and Modified version of the Game. Things you should know: Content Manager, Custom Shader Patch is needed for Mods and better quality game. They are Free, But if you need access to some of the more features they are working on, youll have to "Donate" ( usually a couple bucks at most). Is it necessary? Each to their own, give it a try and then see for yourself. If you want better quality Weather Fx, You will use CSP's "SOL" OR for even better quality use the "Pure" Mod, Created by Peter Boese. Pure requires a donation on Patreon. Do you need "Pure"? Depends on your computer performance and if you are using VR. I am using VR myself, so i am using it. I am saying this so there is no surprises. Tips when downloading Mods: Be very careful. Most of these website make money via Advertising, usually by using Google Ad services. This means, they do not control what ADs are being shown and could be malicious. Make sure to use AD Blockers and a secure Browser. Scan the file if the website has the option, if it does not, after downloading, go to VT and do it yourself before dragging it over to Content Manager. You can use the CM Browser, but my browser is more secure and i do not know how to add extensions yet, like AD blocker. OR, some websites provide the option of becoming a memeber, paying a sub and you wont see any advertisements that could be dangerous. Make sure to Tweak the FFB using CSP for a more realistic experience and to stop spinning out. I found a great walkthrough on YT for the G923/G920/G29 series Wheels but honestly, just watch the video to understand what each setting does, or test it yourself and then find what best fits you. Dont forget that different cars have different Steering Locks. Lots of great Telemetry apps if anyone is interested in tracking their driving and improving. ALL IN ALL: You can make this a realistic fun experience but it does require some work. If you want to drive "Stock" Cars, This game provides the most options. If your looking for an out of the box experience, then it may not be for you. ALSO: Buy the Ultimate Pack if your looking to go down this same route. I am still new myself but i wanted to share my experience because its not clear when you get started.

Genuinely one of the best car games out there. (If not the best) I mainly play touge, but man, this game is so much fun. It's even better with Content Manager, so I definitely recommend getting that too. I've also tried some traffic mods, and they're a ton of fun as well. 10/10 game, definitely recommend it. And if you can, get a wheel for the best experience. Tips for the full experience: Get the Ultimate edition. Most servers require some DLCs so save yourself the worry. Get Content manager. (Basically the hub for the servers) Get a controller or wheel. Mouse steering works but it isn't the best experience. And enjoy.
