Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Sep 7 → 0.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Ascension Trail is a top-down co-op action roguelike where horde-slaying combat meets a real dungeon crawl. Every floor of the tower is a procedurally generated dungeon, hundreds of monsters want you dead, and every death makes you stronger.
Fight your way. Aim every swing, dodge through the swarm, and pick your arsenal: swords, bows, staffs, spellbooks. Or ditch the weapons entirely and punch your way to godhood with your bare fists. Prefer to crack a cold one and relax? Flip on auto-aim and auto-attack and let the build do the killing. The tower doesn't care how you win.
Fight through living dungeons. Every gate hides a new procedural dungeon: kill rooms, survival rooms, treasure vaults, mimic ambushes, and pitch-dark chambers where only the monsters' glowing red eyes give them away. Doors seal behind you. Clear the room or die in it.
Outrun the dark. Your shard-fire burns for the whole run, and the tower is draining it. When the last ember dies, the lights go out, walls stop stopping the monsters, and things get... unpleasant. Climb faster than the fire fades.
Draft a broken build. Ten elements, each with primary, special, and passive skills. Chain them for synergy damage, stack crit, multicast, and projectiles, and turn a basic swing into a screen-clearing catastrophe. No classes, no limits. Just your imagination and bad decisions.
Face the tower's masters. A boss guards every fifth gate, each with its own arena and attack patterns. Survive gate 20 and choose: bank your loot, or dive into endless frenzy and see how good your build really is...
Death is progress. Spend coins and keys on a permanent talent tree, push deeper with the Ascension prestige system, and unlock entirely new elements through achievements.
Hunt gear worth dying for. Six equipment slots, procedurally rolled stats, unique armor with its own skills, and full item sets.
Climb. Fall. Grow. The tower is waiting.

Disclaimer: I got the game for free from one of the two developers on Reddit. They kindly offered a few keys to people interested in the game, with no request in return. Fun game! I have been playing it on my gaming handeld (Legion Go 2 with Windows), and it is surprisingly addictive. Fighting large groups of enemies in dungeon-like areas feels very satisfying, especially because the gameplay is super smooth and responsive. Ascension Trail is an action roguelike game with equipment management. You can use different types of weapons, including swords, bows, and magic staffs, while also collecting and equipping gear. It is possible to complete equipment sets for additional bonuses. At the beginning of each run, and when opening Elite Chests, you can choose one of three powerful traits that last for the run. You can also skip a choice, which apparently saves it as a reroll for a later chest. There are also different types of Shrines during runs. The main ones are Upgrade Shrines, where you can spend shards obtained from defeated monsters on upgrades that last until the end of the run. At camp, you can buy and sell equipment and unlock permanent upgrades called Talents using coins and keys. Once all Talents are unlocked, it is possible to Ascend for further upgrades using Shards of Corruption. This resets your Talents and requires coins to unlock them again. I have not reached that point yet, but I like that the game has several layers of progression. One thing I really like is that enemies do not always come directly at you. Sometimes they try to flank you, which was a pleasant surprise. I do not have many gripes with the game. It is already enjoyable in its current state, but I would appreciate:

Better controller support. The UI does not always show the correct button prompts, the game sometimes switches to mouse-and-keyboard controls, and tutorials do not display controller buttons.
Steam Cloud support for saves.
1920×1220 resolution support. I currently play at 1920×1080.
A few art decals could benefit from another pass, as some feel a little out of place with the game’s overall mood, such as the ones used for the two base zombie models and some consumables.
Big thanks to the developer who provided the Steam key, and best of luck to the team with the game!

Ascension Trails is one of those games that grabs you fast and doesn’t let go. It’s intriguing, addictive, and has this clean, stylish vibe that makes every run feel fresh. The core loop is pure fun — you level up, push as far as you can, ascend, reset, and dive right back in stronger than before. The more you play, the more those shard‑powered campfire upgrades let you push deeper into the trails, and it’s incredibly satisfying watching your progress stretch further each run. CO‑OP takes that fun and doubles it. Struggling through levels together while sharing crystals adds this great layer of teamwork — you actually have to talk, plan, and decide who grabs what so the run doesn’t fall apart. And the best part? It’s silky smooth. No lag, no weird bugs, nothing that ruins the experience for me or my friend. We’re constantly racing each other on the leaderboards, and it never stops being hilarious and competitive. The devs deserve a shoutout too. They listen, they fix bugs quickly, and they’re open to new ideas. It genuinely feels like a game that’s growing with its community. Overall: 10/10 — would absolutely spend the whole day playing it. EZ PZ. Forgot to mention the music is absolute ART. Moving through stages just to listen to the bangers is absolutely a motivation :D
this game gives binding of Isaac vibes but with some added features of different weapons you can get from various chest you find along the way you can also get very cool different types of powers to be able to attack your enemy's like dark magic, lighting powers, explosive attacks and many more if your looking for a new game to play id recommend this one as this genre of games aren't really my type of games but this one makes it incredible fun with how many ability's there are and the different type of enemy's there is would recommend
Really enjoying the game so far! The gameplay feels smooth, the movement is responsive, and I haven't run into any bugs. The music is great and gives the game a nice vibe, although I'd love to see more tracks added in the future to keep things fresh. The pets are so niceeeee and make the game even more fun. Overall, it's a really enjoyable roguelike. Keep it up!
I didn't expect to spend this many hours playing Ascension Trail, but it just keeps pulling me back in. The gameplay is genuinely fun, and trying out different builds never gets old. Every run feels a little different, so there's always a reason to jump in for "just one more." The progression feels rewarding, combat stays engaging, and it's satisfying seeing your build come together as a run goes on. It's one of those games that's easy to lose track of time with. If you enjoy roguelites with plenty of replay ability and build variety, I'd definitely recommend giving it a try.
Honestly i really enjoyed this game. Its fun, easy to get into, and kept me interested the whole time. Never got me bored. Ive had a really good time playing it, and id definitely recommend it. It’s a game id genuinely play again, and i can guarantee you’ll have a good time with it.
It’s an overall chill game. It’s different from what I usually play so took me a bit to figure it out (mainly coz my adhd ass don’t read instructions 😅) , but I was definitely pleasantly surprised on how engaging it is. I can tell a lot of work has gone into making it and I think the result speaks for itself. It looks great, the room menus are nice concept and descriptions are funny. Definitely good pass time and don’t need to take out small mortgage to get it 🤣 Definitely recommend! 😊
I like the game, it's one of those roguelikes you can just zone out grinding while listening to podcasts in the background. There were some mechanics that I didn't understand at first, but as soon as you get the ball rolling things end up clearer. Not the most expensive game either, and the dev team are still tweaking and fiddling with stuff to make it better.
Bought this on a whim with basically zero expectations. Opened it while waiting for the boys to finish whatever they were doing in Discord. Ended up getting way too invested and almost missed our CS2 session 😂 Had to literally force myself to quit and launch CS2. Pretty fun game. The dungeon-crawling twist makes it feel different from the usual Vampire Survivors-style games. Lots of different builds to try, combat is simple but satisfying Didn't expect this game to actually keep me playing, but here we are. Definitely worth checking out if you like roguelites.
