Artipic

I've seen quite a few Photoshop clones in my day, and this is one of the better ones. Artipic is quite the powerhouse for 30 bucks, and I'm not really sure why this has gotten a fair amount of negative reviews. First and foremost, I'll get the glaring issues out of the way: Firstly, the brush tool is abysmal. I know that this is a photo editor, but Photoshop 'accidentally' juggles both quite well by allowing you to not only paint detailed pictures, but edit pictures with extreme percision with said brush engine. Artipic, on the other hand definitely attempts to accomplish this, but falls short due to the limited settings. The second issue isn't a problem for me, but photographers might gripe about it: filters. Essentially with Artipic, there are no basic filters at all. Photoshop will distort, warp, and do all sorts of tricks with its eyes closed compared to Artipic's selection, which is basically just noise, blur and a vignette. Honestly though, I like the fact that you can add a vignette this way, because it's super quick and snappy to have on hand. Last but not least, I'm a huge fan of content-aware fills, and there doesn't seem to be such a thing here, which is a shame. Every other type exists, and there's even a working healing / spot-healing tool along with a clone stamp, but none of the fill goodness that I crave. Now, onto the positives. Artipic has quite a lot of the advanced tools that Photoshop has; selecting color ranges is a piece of cake, there's a working pen tool, you can multi-tab your windows, you can refine and feather your selections, paths seem to work just fine, and there's even the beloved transform function for all of your stretching, skewing and perspective needs. Masks and layers seem to work well, and there's even a cool "image style" layer menu that allows you to pick or create some presets of numerous effects for quick access, similar to what Affinity Photo has going on. Effects such as levels and color filters can seemingly be stacked here, so this kind of doubles as a shortcut menu for effects as well, which can probably speed up the editing process depending on what you're doing. Another crazy thing about Artipic is that it features excellent batch processing; effects get stacked in a sort of modular style workflow (the same as stated above), and you're presented with loads of batch transforming, exporting and renaming options under this unique interface. Even more unbelievable is that Artipic can handle .PSD during the batch process, so you can basically batch convert all of your Photoshop documents into JPG's while you're sipping your morning coffee. This alone, in my humble opinion, is worth the $30 in itself. Does this totally replace photoshop? Absolutely not; aside from what I've already covered, Photoshop is the industry standard and has a deep complexity that nothing else wil likely ever touch, however it would seem as though Artipic covered some of the most essential advanced functions for image editing and brought the price tag down into the highly-affordable range. Also, that batch processing capability really sweetens the deal. I will likely spend more time with this software and update my review in the future, but as it stands I'm highly impressed. Artipic is more than worth the $30 investment if you want to cut right to the important stuff for your photo-editing needs.

i definity would say photoshop is a lot easier than this i just found this a bit chunky and a bit slow i prefer photo shop

La otra ventaja es que la licencia del producto es de por vida y no es muy cara por lo que lo hace bastante bueno en comparación a otros softwares de edición pagos de este estilo. Por ultimo cabe destacar que nunca se me colgó el programa ni sufrí por usarlo. Es un perfecto 7/10 . Funcional y al punto

Update: After using it a bit I currently can just say that you can get almost everthing for free fro m free programms just better. The only thing thats good is the gui. It's an okay software photo editing software! It's easy to use and has some good features. It was kinda for me a tutorial on how to use photoshop and other editing programms.

For the price, this is a valid option for photo editing. It’s not extraordinary, but it works well.
