Around The Core is the first TRULY adrenaline-pumping incremental clicker I've played in recent months (which is saying something, because I play A LOT of them). There is something about its combat, presentation, progression, and boos fights that makes the usual incremental loop feel delightfully urgent and tension inducing - emotions i'd expect from an flight-combat sim or first-person shooter, certainly not an incremental clicker. And then there's the score, which is far better than it has any right to be. The music elevates the entire experience into something genuinely spectacular, adding an unexpected sense of intensity and atmosphere to what could have been just another incremental game. The game's relatively low processing power has made it so that i often leave the game running in the background just to listen to the soundtrack while i work. Around The Core is fantastic fusion of incremental and old-school-shooter, capitalizing on the strengths of both genres.

The game feels a little slow at first, but it quickly picks up. The sense of progression and enemy balance are really well done. Very satisfying overall, and it offers a great amount of fun for the price. Definitely recommend it
