Surprisingly, the game had an interesting plot, but besides that, the animations and characters were also well-designed.
Loved the gameplay and overall experience. A very enjoyable game indeed!
A really cool game with cool graphics and cool gameplay. Its absolutely awesome The artwork is beautiful. (I dont care that it was AI-generated the flaws dont stand outif there even are any)
Fun dungeon crawler with nice progression and great loot!
Aquilon's Sex Quest is an adult-oriented indie RPG that ambitiously tries to fuse light dungeon crawling, relationship simulation, and erotic visual novel elements into a single progression loop. Developed by Aquilon and published by Dreamers Workshop, the game positions itself as a coming-of-age fantasy adventure with explicit content at its core, following a young, inexperienced protagonist who leaves his hometown in pursuit of glory, wealth, and intimacy. From the outset, it is clear that the game’s priorities lie less in mechanical sophistication and more in delivering a steady stream of character encounters and adult scenarios wrapped in a familiar fantasy framework. Narratively, the game adopts a loose RPG storyline rather than a tightly scripted plot. The protagonist’s journey into a larger city serves mainly as a hub for meeting new characters, unlocking side activities, and gradually expanding access to both dungeons and intimate scenes. Story events are delivered in short bursts between gameplay segments, often functioning as connective tissue rather than a deeply developed arc. While there is a sense of progression as new characters and locations become available, the writing tends to focus more on setup than payoff, and character motivations are often sketched broadly rather than explored in depth. This makes the narrative serviceable for context, but rarely compelling on its own. Gameplay is divided between exploration, dungeon runs, and social interactions. Dungeon content relies on a dice-based combat and event system that simplifies encounters into probability checks rather than tactical decision-making. Players choose actions, roll outcomes, and manage health and resources while progressing toward bosses and rewards. In practice, this system can feel repetitive, as encounters lack meaningful variation and strategy often boils down to endurance rather than clever play. Progression systems exist in the form of upgrades and stat improvements, but their impact can feel muted, which sometimes undermines the sense of growth that RPG players typically expect. Outside of combat, the game leans heavily into relationship progression as its main incentive loop. Interacting with characters, completing certain tasks, or reaching specific milestones unlocks new scenes and gallery content. These interactions are largely linear, with limited branching or long-term consequences, making progression feel more checklist-driven than choice-driven. While this structure ensures steady access to adult content, it also reduces replay value for players hoping to explore significantly different outcomes or narrative paths across multiple playthroughs. Visually, Aquilon’s Sex Quest reflects its low-budget indie origins. Character art and animations vary in quality, with some scenes appearing polished enough for the genre while others feel stiff or inconsistent in style. Presentation relies heavily on static images and looping animations, which is typical for adult visual novels but may disappoint players expecting more expressive or dynamic visuals. The interface is functional but plain, prioritizing accessibility over aesthetics. Sound design and music are minimal and largely forgettable, serving as background accompaniment rather than a defining feature of the experience. One of the most commonly noted issues is the game’s writing and localization. Dialogue frequently feels awkward, with phrasing that suggests machine translation or limited editorial polish. This can disrupt immersion, especially during story segments meant to convey emotion or humor. Characters often speak in blunt or unnatural ways, which further reinforces the sense that narrative depth was not a primary development focus. For players sensitive to writing quality, this can become a significant barrier to enjoyment. Despite its shortcomings, the game has found a receptive audience within its niche. Players specifically seeking an adult RPG with light mechanics and a steady content flow may appreciate its straightforward structure and lack of complexity. The inclusion of galleries, achievements, and incremental unlocks gives completion-minded players clear goals to pursue, even if the journey itself lacks variety. At its best, Aquilon’s Sex Quest offers moments of guilty-pleasure charm, where its earnest ambition and unapologetic genre focus carry it further than its technical execution might otherwise allow. Ultimately, Aquilon’s Sex Quest is a game defined by compromise. Its ideas outpace its polish, and its systems rarely rise above functional, yet it remains consistent in delivering what it promises to its intended audience. Players looking for refined RPG mechanics, strong storytelling, or high production values are likely to find it shallow and repetitive. However, for fans of adult-centric indie titles who value quantity of content and genre familiarity over finesse, it stands as a modest but earnest entry that delivers a niche experience without pretension. Rating: 7/10
This is a painful but hard "no"
Painful because there is a lot of potential here but hard (no pun intended) because the englisch localisation will make your brain bleed - it is that bad Don't get me wrong, I am ok if english translations are a bit(!) off. I'm also usually ok with AI created translations, they generally get the job done and still let you follow the story without too much confusion. But this... THIS ... is so atrocious it would be an insult to any AI if called AI-generated. This is autotranslated from Russian to English via 4 other languages, of which at least one is a dead language. Not to mention that big parts of the dialogue are still in Russian. And here is the painful part: I am suspecting, that there is an actual decent story underneath all this, one I would have loved to read. There is a LOT of story here - lost in english gibberish. The game "loop" is also a double-edged thing. The underlying mechanics (think dice-based strategy where every dice represents a variable amout of attack, defense, heal or nothing) can be genuine fun but frustratingly you can't really explore or expand it. Every encounter is a step in a predetermined scipt. There is no playing around, no experimenting, now rewards, no benefits. Its like having a real nice car and only be allowed to drive from A to B to C... It is such a missed opportunity The adult content is... "meh". Its not enough compensation for what you have to go through to get it. The "Skip all text" option doesn't seem to work so you spend 2 of the 3 hours total playtime mindlessly clicking away broken engerish and absolutely unnecessary transitions. The game part of the game takes about an hour max. Thats what you are paying for.
Solid adventure game. Dungeon runs are quick and exciting, and building relationships in town balances the action nicely.
cool
A wonderful delight for the eyes, a plot for show, the elements of the roguelike are surprisingly well done! The AI is just too much, but I liked it.
