The original game's DIRUS Materiality Engine allowed the player to experience cutting-edge immersion like no other virtual world available at the time. The world has moved on, but this remastered edition brings the Materiality Engine as-is into the modern era.
We have gone to great lengths to ensure the graphics are identical (with an optional NTSC filter) and left the original control scheme fully intact in the efforts of preserving the classic and original Apparatus experience.
This game is not for the faint of heart and was born from a different era of design—it will not hold your hand. Some have described it as unpleasant to play, others have grown too frustrated to continue.
It will confuse you.

Not the biggest fan of the tank controls but it's time-period accurate so I can't complain about it too much, it's very well made and well worth the price!
I have really enjoyed playing this game and it has given me 20 Hours of absorbing gameplay. The aesthetic is perfect as it harks back to the days of the early Sega Master system games where what is important is the gameplay not the graphics (No Super HD hyper realism here). It took me ages to get the jumps right so I died a lot at first but apart from the do around there does not seem to be a downside to this. I loved the fact that there are levels to find in this game that are not physical levels (Trying not to give anything away.....) This is such a small investment in monetary terms for such a rewarding game in enjoyment and puzzling. Buy it / Play it / You wont regret it.

Very unique, purely exploration based game. Traversing low-poly 3D environments is all you're going to do in this game, which is great because the level design is top-notch. Each area is really distinct, and makes you want to keep playing to see what is around the next corner. It takes dedication to make progress, but it is very rewarding. a treacherous journey through a multitude of epic puzzles
This game was definitely very much more complicated than I expected it to be. I like it quite a bit! I think, even beyond the more meta elements, the game itself I find very atmospheric and compelling, and I like its visual, sound, and level designs a lot. A very much slow-paced, exploration-heavy game that I think nails exactly what it's trying to do. And, the more ARG-ish elements that are within the game are not too crazy difficult to solve. I was able to solve most of it without much guidance. I'm not sure if this means that I'm better at ARGs then I thought, or if this one is just a bit more accessible and less insanely cryptic than other ones I have seen, but either way, piecing it together and solving the puzzles and exploring around its world were all very nice. I definitely recommend this game if you enjoy slow-paced, exploration-focused, atmospheric puzzle games and ARG-type stuff! The dragons in this game get a rating of 0/10, as there were no dragons in this game.
Finally I think I've found all the secrets. Such a gem of a game. Very cool lofi locales to explore while collecting and searching for secret files on a defunct (but very real) developer's website. Every time I thought I was done, I found something new that made me explore everything all over again. Loved every minute.
A wonderful dungeon crawler/walking sim/puzzle game/ ARG? A great title with a lot of mystery and a lot to say about what we make, what we leave behind, and who comes after.
Do you like Petscop? Do you wish you could actually *play* Petscop? Uh... are you OK? Is your family treating you right? Well... OK then! You'll enjoy this game, if by "enjoy," you mean "feel a sense of dread you can't quite name"
Awesome stuff, man. Great atmosphere. A lot of people say they got 90's vibes when all they got is low poly. THIS guy's got the 90's vibes in the bag. Can't wait to see more from this dev
Ok i can only describe this game as its own category of game. its weird, spooky, you always except something to happen but no. Its pure "dread" ITS SO INTERESTING. the game has many secrets. which you may not get the first time you see... my tip is: get a notebook and write down EVERYTHING you see :) Its great!
