Apocalypse: 2.0 Edition

一款FPS游戏，关卡内容为僵尸防守 好像可以自己建房间，多人合作 不过内容有些单调（至少当前版本中）：敌人刷新点就一个，武器初始建房间时就能选择，杀敌人没掉落，也没啥特殊的玩法 关卡中比较昏暗，只能看清你附近的情况，而且没有手电等可以发光的物品 一个最明显的缺点：界面UI字体过小，很难看清 唯一的优点大概就是这游戏免费，而且开发者还在更新中，希望未来会有好的后续吧

Game has come a long way since it first launched, a whole engine change and countless additions. Clearly lots of love and hard work put in. Very responsive dev who listens and interacts w/ the community frequently, check any review or discussion board to see for yourself. Manages to throw an impressive amount of AI at you in the later stages of levels and the looting/weapon customisation is a nice touch. Progression feels good, unlocking perks or upgrading skills. It's free to play, easy to run and a small download; No reason to not give it a try.

И снова на скринах игра выглядит интересно, а начиная играть я слышу звук выстрела из АК47 при выстреле из дробовика и скучную дичь в виде тупых зомбей и унылых локаций...

- Волны по три зомби - Бесконечные патроны в оружии - Бессмысленность происходящего - Отсутствие сюжета - Вес игры 20 гигабайт - Недружелюбный интерфейс - Недружелюбное меню игры Скучный шутер, происходящий в одном помещении (на выбор есть несколько карт). Прочитав отзывы, что все плохо и ужасно - посчитал, что за год патчей разработчик исправил свои косяки - но нет. Все осталось на том же уровне. Не рекомендуется к ознакомлению.

Apocalypse: 2.0 Edition is a zombie themed FPS wave survival arena shooter where you shoot waves of what look like Unreal Engine Asset flipped zombies, pick up a number of guns, and keep on shooting. This looks like either someones high school project or an asset flip or something. I'm going with the former in this case because the developer has made the game completely free. The quality here is, well, another example of gamers getting what they pay for. It's buggy, glitchy, and comes across as unpolished. Gameplay is, well, wave survival shooting is pretty low on the ladder when it comes to deep, rich gaming experience. Even procgen levels show more depth. There's no actual content in the game. The game is completely free. Nothing speaks more to a developers belief in themselves and their product than making their game available for everyone without remuneration. This is certainly a gesture that shows dedication to the gaming industry. It's a shame in this case that the implementation is below the minimum standards a dedicated PC game should offer to enthusiasts. There's no "maybe" option in Steam, unfortunately, but I hope to see more work from this developer, perhaps as part of a professional game development company that can make full use of their talents without needing to make budget/quality compromises.
