I don't think I vibe with this game. That's it. The art's cool, I like the music, but the dialogue just doesn't really evoke any emotion within me for some reason. And after a while it feels like I am just hastily skimming through text while quickly finding a way to end each chapter. Don't let my opinion stop you from enjoying this game though. This game isn't like, bad. You should try it out and form your own thoughts about it.

Played a lot of thecatamites' other games but this one still manages to feel incredibly unique while also maintaining the same whimsy as all the others. The 3D environments do a bang-up job as a vechicle for an immersive (meta?) zine, although I do think I ended up accidentally skipping some text while fleeing for my life. While I do know that they're actually Irish, my body compels me to describe the experience as a british Yume Nikki. Somewhat snarky, deeply sincere. Make whatever you want and put it on the internet, it'll be fun.

Genuine peak of videogaming. I think it was very, very creative and I really enjoyed the artstyle. I've always loved 2.5D games in general. Sometimes the dialogue would disappear a little too fast but otherwise this game is flawless. Play ASAP

Gah, what an insanely creative and lovingly crafted art piece. While there isn't much "game" to this game, I truly can't knock it because it never professes to be anything else. It is a minimally interactive story that is exceedingly well written. It is wry, funny, and pointed in all the ways satirical comedy should be. And that's not even including the art. The art and assets in this game are UNREAL. Truly a work of pure love. It's so nice to experience things made by people who are just doing whatever the ♥♥♥♥ they want, and the creator was definitely doing whatever the ♥♥♥♥ they wanted. There were some periods where I almost checked out, but then a scene change would happen and I would be sat right back down because of how weird and engaging everything was. The use of sounds was great, the music was PHENOMENAL. Truly obsessed with the liminal feel of the sound design and the music composition. That plus the art really gave the whole thing a "I think I stepped into something I shouldn't have" vibe. I went through the bonus content after finishing the story and just was so darn smiley. I just love art so much and I love people who are committed to making it so much. This is well worth your time just to experience something that someone loves. The world needs more of it.

This game is either a nightmarish allegorical horoscope of a inescapable dystopian future under capitalism born from the tormented memories of a man's perpetual psychosis or just a silly little game about a girl who likes birds and hates her neighbours. And to be honest, I really can't tell which it is.

What if, in the 1970s, an immortal, unstoppable, eldritch being came into existence, whose only purpose was to behave like a slasher movie villain? How would society change over the next twenty years? Is a wry sense of humour and an entrepreneurial spirit enough to survive such strange times? The answer to all these questions and more besides, is: yes.

indeed an anthology. lovely artwork and story. I find the art style to be the most compelling piece of the whole experience however the gameplay is still pretty fun despite a real lack thereof. Recommend if you love surrealist art, witty humor and a sense for exploration
