A satisfactory recommendation for players who enjoy old-school action. The soundtrack alone is worth it. However, just like the Nerd's show on YouTube, there is a lot of gore, poop jokes and questionable humor. And like the games that inspired it, the difficulty is relentless!

i played this on the n3ds originally and i just adore this game the graphics are pretty and the jokes are funny the gameplay is tough as nails in the best way 9/10

I do not care enough to beat Fred ♥♥♥♥♥. This game is fun, but its late game and final boss are deeply frustrating ordeals when running out of lives means repeating the level, when half the deaths are from falling down a pit. I found splitting my concentration away from fred led to one death, and splitting away from the nerd led to another, and with the control feeling just a hair slippery on the steam decks d-pad, it led to anger, but anger at repetitive work leads to the worst kind of boredom. I will say, i found the level design pretty good. The game isn't long, and each stage has a very smooth and defined difficulty curve, and actually beating a level is satisfying. I didn't necessarily find the death blocks frustrating either, every death from them felt like my own. But it gets to a point where I find it personally discouraging. Ill keep trying every now and then to beat the game's ass, but I gotta move on

got a freaky deaky ass level like the gta shoe shop but overall not as good as the sequel but great hidden gem

This game is a load of ♥♥♥♥.

It's a game for AVGN fans. The platforming is nothing new, and many of the stages and enemies get repeated a lot. The music is waaayy too loud as a standard, luckily you can adjust it in the menu. The quotes and the lore is pretty hilarious and they really tried to put as much as possible for the fans of AVGN, which is something to appreciate. I played and beat the game on Easy, and it was definitely easy! All the bosses were a pushover. The instant death blocks were not my favorite thing, but I guess that adds to the difficulty of the game. 1 BIG PROBLEM; if you play the game on keyboard, and you die, if you press 3 buttons at the same time just a couple of frames before the game starts, the game doesn't work anymore, and you have to quit the game completely and restart to be able to play again.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ was hard then i went through the Blizzard of Balls and currently Beat It & Eat It is proving to be a challenge.
