Go is a 3000-year-old game of strategy played by over 24 million people world-wide. Play is simple, place stones at key positions to surround territory and capture enemies. The rules can be learned in minutes, but Go has yet to be completely mastered. Ancient Go is designed for new players.

AI一直下一些很奇怪的棋,一看就知道沒有參考過圍棋的佈局以及一些常用的擺法。而且第一手棋沒有下在右上角,一看就知道這遊戲的創作者不會圍棋。
I am a chess player. Not a Go player. This game has politely made that clear to me. Will I some day become a Go player? I know only one thing for certain: 14 hours falls short of the number of hours of practice necessary for me to do that. But I can't blame this game: it seems to work perfectly. There are more expensive Go games available, and I even own one. But this game will suit me for a long time to come. An impressive performance would be required to beat it with regularity, even on its second-lowest setting, it seems to me. But what do I know. I am merely a chess player.
Well, who should get it and who not? In short: it has not many features. The menu looks nice, the music is ok for a while (which plays in menu and can be turned off) There is a good tutorial ingame, and I might write other ones. Players new to go/who don't even know might consider to buy. Go is a fun game, if you like strategy games. You can play the pc on different strengths on 4 different boards from small to large. ... well, you can play online (not able to chat on steam) and you can get achievements.
Good "get back in shape" game. Years ago, I was a 2nd degree blackbelt (ni-dan). Ancient Go has helped me get some of my skill back and I plan to get back into a little competition with the USAGA in the near future.
A great way to practice Go without other human players. One of the fastest simulations I have ever found.
I would love to give this a thumbs up. But its broken as far as I can tell, multiplayer doesn't work. Instead just go to the go website the game is made to connect with (*and it does, but i could never get it to start a game with a friend): https://online-go.com/ If you want to play against the computer or learn go -- spend the five dollars here and get the advanced features: https://online-go.com/
This game works like we expect for a Go game. It's nice-looking and plays really well, always pleasant to pick this one up to have a good time playing Go.
