This is definitely a great experience. The game is fun, there are a lot of enemies and environmental puzzles and the art style is impressive. And it's free! I highly recommend it!
Good free game, Good Level Design, Good Art Style and Good Environment. I recommend to play it, if you love the Metroidvania games set under the sea.
Sure, it's a little rough around the edges but, nonetheless, Anchor: Quest for Atlantis delivers a 2-3 hours experience that manages to be engaging and fun. Your weapon, the anchor, is the perfect tool for the constant introduction of new mechanics, The player is therefore deeply immersed (pun intended) in a world full of new shortcuts to unlock, puzzles to solve and secrets to unveil. All of that and IT'S FREE! If you want to invest just a little bit of your time in this passion project, you'll be gladly surprised. Definitely recommended.

Very nice and immersive game! I really like the way it simulates that you are under the sea! Well done guys!
Cool game!
Good!!!
Good graphic and enjoyable gameplay
When i initally found out this game was free i couldn't believe it, the screenshots showed a beautiful art style that clearly had a lot of effort put into it. So i went to the steam discussions and asked, apparantly these devs are just that kind sharing their hard work for free. So is it worth your time [strike]and money[/strike]? I would say so yeah, it's nice and short which actually works in the benefit of games such as these. The game isn't huge or overly ambitious, it's small in scale and well made within that frame, worth playing because it doesn't cost you anything but a bit of time.I did all the game had to offer and got all achievements in about 3 hours and enjoyed most of my time. The only minor points of frustration were a few bugs that softlocked me, forcing a respawn. These never lost me more than a minute or two of progress though so it really wasn't that big of an issue. Other than these minor technical issues the game is compentently made with no crashes or big fps drops. So it works, is short and free but is it fun to play? Yeah i'd say so as well, the combat is a bit basic with low enemy variety and bosses that were not that great but it controls well enough and there's a fair difficulty to it all that punishes reckless play. The handfull of arena's especially were a bit harder but not impossible if you didn't rush, and they rewarded you with some currency. There's even some character upgrading which makes combat feel more rewarding, something i didn't expect going in. There's not much platforming going on given the isometric nature of the game but the game keeps it interesting with fun level design and even a few cleverly designed puzzles! There's a nice mix of exploration, combat and puzzling here and while the isometric perspective wasn't used to obscure secrets i still had fun looking for chests and story logs. These logs didn't have a whole lot to them and the story is a bit basic but it was coherent which is the most important part. What was also very coherent was the overal art style of the game. There's a suprising variety of environments to explore and all of it feels very on point for an underwater city. The shadows of sea creatures swimming overhead and the filter both added to the immersion of being underwater. I also loved the architecture and ruins of this once great city, with beautiful vistas and high quality models throughout. The game is real eye candy with a distinct and unique art style that is paired with the exploration the games' strongest aspect. The music isn't half bad either, i found it refreshing and of good quality for a free game. There's not many tracks but what was there helped immerse me a lot especially paired with the ambient sound design. As a whole the game was a pretty fun experience with vastly more positives than negatives, especially considering that it doesn't cost you anything. I feel blessed i got to play this for free and hope to repay the devs atleast somwhat with a thumbs up!
