ambr is a free to play VR social world game by Japanese developers for Japanese people. It worked on my system, looked ok, sounded ok, played ok, was understandable. i signed up for an account using google translate on their website. I used my login on the VR login lobby and it gave me a message and stopped when i first tried it. At review time, i tried it again and it worked, sending me to my home room. My default avatar is a short digital rabbit. Looks like there is not much ready yet. I opened up a Record shop room for a few minutes and looked around. Then I went to an open Classroom room. The UI has English wording on it for me and there is standard pictograms for UI items. You can see in the store: food, drink, and toy items that you can buy with the Ambr currency. You might can import or buy avatars from something called VRoid Hub. I think you can also play this sort of from the web browser, i noticed that when i made my account. You can walk move using your touchpad. There is a lot of messages and text that is in japanese. Disable your active Anti-Malware defenses, that might have stopped me the first time. I didn't see anyone online at the time, but that might be normal. This looks to be a WIP project, so you might need patience. There is not much to it at this time, and it looks like they are going the monetization route. Sometimes the login does not work. I like the idea, I like the avatars, although everything is written in Japanese the menu is intuitive and I have not found a problem. That I do not like it? the sounds are very sharp and the world including oneself does not feel to scale everything is huge. I want to see how it progresses, I hope to see new versions.
