About
Strategic dice rolls, keen population management, and navigating factional rivalries are all vital to thriving in Amberspire. Beneath the glow of a gas giant, build your city in harmony with an alien ecology. Atop the ruins of an abandoned moon, a new city dawns.

Dice are at the heart of Amberspire. Each building has a unique die to roll for creating resources, used to construct and operate other buildings. Buildings may not always give you the resources you need, so you and your city will adapt to what fortune provides.

The moon orbiting the gas giant Amber has developed an unusual ecology – viscous floodplains and rust blooms, dense fog and silica grass dominate the environment. They will impact your city's growth and must be managed, but cohabitation is better than eradication.

The citizens of Amberspire have their own goals and rivalries with your city caught in between their grand hopes and nefarious intentions. Influence their plans to avoid their ire and prosper.

Dice-driven systems govern resources, buildings, weather, and events. Dice guide you to play reactively and create interesting scenarios.
Systemic ecology and citizen dynamics create a lively and unique world. The residents of your city grow according to their environment. Likewise, the weather and ecology of the moon respond to the increasing number of buildings and can threaten your progress.
Factions and political drama can dramatically affect your capabilities. Dynamic events infuse the story of your city as factions compete with each other.
Hand-drawn isometric art beautifully realize the buildings that comprise your city, and lush portraits depict the many factions in the galaxy.
An original soundtrack composed by nervous_testpilot that brings to life the unique world of Amber and its moon.

Very interesting take on city builders, heavily inspired by board games and the idea that you shouldn't always be in control of the outcome of your planning. Risk/reward factors heavily into your decisionmaking! And the vibes are immaculate.
This is a beautiful puzzle of a city builder. The design is elegant enough that you figure out exactly what the game is asking of you very quickly but the puzzle remains an evolving challenge throughout. It rewards careful and patient play and the decision making always feels important. I highly recommend it
I love the fact of balancing randomness. Really interesting mechanics and game loop.
Amberspire feels like playing a one-person board game, and I mean that in the best way possible. Players roll dice to see whether they get resources or not, buildings must be placed correctly to receive said resources, and even the negative effects that can occur happen either via dice rolls or random events which could very well just be drawing cards from an event deck. It's lovely.
Really charming. It was nice to kick back and play this for 30 minute stints.
an amazing city builder for the dice fiends out there, could use some polish on the UI side of things (unaligned text, annoying popup markers), but would recommend for a chill night home!
this game's dice mechanic integrates with the narrative moments in a way that, for me, inspires a feeling of hope similar to reading news headlines about investments and policy proposals. the future is a roll of the dice, we just hope the results are in our favour. it feels good to win against the odds, be what they may.
real good stuff
Great.
Very cool aesthetic and original gameplay ideas to this superb city builder. Has the satisfaction aspect of growing a bonsai tree.
