It's a good game so long as you temper your expectations. Six bucks for 40 minutes of slightly jank gameplay. It's not polished but there are interesting ideas in here that make it worth a play. Gameplay consists of entering suburban houses, navigating their tight and dimly lit corridors, shooting the enemies within and grabbing keys. The game works best when it pairs it's scripted sequences alongside claustrophobic environments and enemy ambushes. The game does a good job at keeping things tense throughout with it's enemy spawns and sound design but it suffers from being too easy. This game would be perfect if enemies hid behind countertops, under beds, or around corners but the ways they ambush you are limited.
fun
Максимально ублюдский порт с пк на вр
game looks blurry and blocky, i was hoping it would look like the no-vr, i looked at other people gameplay and it looked the same to mine. i hope it gets better, ill wait until
Practically felt unplayable with the Index.
might be the worst game ive ever played in my life
I've only played an hour of this game, and it's fun, but needs a good polish and a Warning! There is some content in the game that I would have preferred to have been aware of before I played. There is a warning at the very bottom of the Steam page (which i didn't see when buying the game) but having it in the description would let people know so they can be prepared for it. The gameplay loop is good as you take on the role of a Police officer responding to a 911 call, and end up fighting a gang of cultists who have overrun a small neighbourhood. There are a lot of quick reactions needed and some startling moments as suspects run out of the shadows to attack you. Where they attack from can sometimes change a little with each retry, so it keeps you on your toes. It was fun exploring the houses, finding the clues, getting jump scared and trying to solve everything, but I struggled to find direction after a while and was just wandering about for ages until I gave up as not much else was happening. It didn't help that I couldn't ever read all the dialogue or things I was supposed to do as the writing was too far over to the right of my viewpoint. There was so many other problems playing the game too. At the start, you can't read all the instructions on the main menu of the game, as the text slider doesn't work. The options and UI are very limited, so are the control options, no height adjustment, no turning speed adjustment for the smoothing turning and the crouch only sometimes works, the smooth locomotion wasn't the smoothest, and I ended up resorting to snap turn which I dislike to use. I had trouble with pretty much every door in the game, if you don't open it fully you can't go through it. There was also a visible mesh on all the doors. This visible mesh was also on the keys, the gun and ammo holsters. At one point the game just stopped and closed without any reason and I had to start over from what was a good run through from the beginning. Some of the Blurred out bodies aren't blurred out properly as the blurred spot was beside the body. I really didn't like the dead and mutilated animals, nor the S A scene in the game, I understand some of this sort of content and things are in games, but a clear warning would have made it more bearable and less of an unexpected shock! Overall I think this game has potential to be a hell of a lot better, but in it's current state it's not the best. A good polish and this could bring me back for a lot more play time. If this gets some updates and work, I will come back to play more and re-do my review. But until the work is done, there are just too many problems. I've attached my video review if you want to check out some of my jump scares, gameplay and thoughts. https://youtu.be/W1S593_E21M
