I bought this game as soon as I saw it was a Pixeljunk game because I've long been a huge fan of the series, and I had a great time playing this with friends. We used "remote play together" and since the game is fairly relaxed it worked very well. It would be nice if there was the option to work through levels in with increasing difficulty or with some kind of natural progression, but the game itself is very fun.

All You Need is Help, developed and published by Q-Games Ltd., is a cooperative puzzle experience that transforms simple spatial mechanics into lively, communication-driven chaos. At first glance, it presents itself as a bright and adorable party game populated by fluffy cube-shaped creatures. Beneath its charming exterior, however, lies a cleverly restrictive movement system that forces players to rely entirely on one another to succeed. The central mechanic defines the entire experience: each character can move freely in straight lines but cannot rotate independently. This limitation means that adjusting orientation requires physical assistance from teammates—pushing, nudging, or leveraging environmental features to align properly. Even the simplest objective, such as fitting characters into a specific shape or triggering switches simultaneously, demands coordinated positioning and active communication. What might seem trivial in a single-player puzzle becomes hilariously complex when multiple players attempt to align themselves in tight spaces without the ability to turn. The game is clearly designed with multiplayer at its core. Supporting up to four players in both local split-screen and online cross-platform sessions, All You Need is Help thrives on collaborative energy. The puzzles rarely feel solvable without conversation, and miscommunication often leads to moments of comedic chaos rather than frustration. While a Duo Mode exists that allows a single player to control two characters, the design philosophy strongly favors real-time teamwork. The joy of the experience stems from shared problem-solving, spontaneous laughter, and the occasional frantic scramble when plans unravel mid-puzzle. Across its extensive collection of over 160 levels, the game gradually introduces environmental variations to keep the core mechanic engaging. Some stages focus on precise shape assembly, while others incorporate moving platforms, hazards, time constraints, or competitive mini-games. The 2-versus-2 modes add light competitive flavor, though cooperation remains the dominant theme. While early levels can feel repetitive, later stages require more refined coordination and spatial awareness, rewarding groups that develop synergy over time. Progression is supported by a light customization and reward system. Completing levels grants currency that can be spent in a gacha-style machine located in the central lobby. Players unlock cosmetic items, character accessories, and decorative furniture for their personal rooms. While these rewards do not impact gameplay mechanics, they offer a playful incentive for continued participation and provide personalization options that enhance the social atmosphere. Visually, the game adopts a soft, pastel aesthetic that emphasizes readability and warmth. The cube-like characters are intentionally cute and expressive, and environments are cleanly designed to ensure that puzzle elements remain easy to interpret even during chaotic group sessions. The sound design reinforces this tone with cheerful music and playful audio cues. Although the soundtrack maintains a consistent lighthearted mood, extended sessions may reveal some repetition in audio loops, especially during longer puzzle sequences. What ultimately distinguishes All You Need is Help is its unwavering commitment to collaboration as both mechanic and theme. It does not attempt to compete with more mechanically complex puzzle games; instead, it focuses on accessibility and shared experience. Success feels less about individual brilliance and more about collective adaptation. Even mistakes become part of the enjoyment, as players learn to reposition and rethink strategies together. While solo players may find the experience limited due to its cooperative focus, groups seeking a social, approachable puzzle game will likely appreciate its structure. It captures the spirit of cooperative party titles that emphasize communication over competition, delivering moments of chaotic coordination that feel uniquely communal. In the broader landscape of multiplayer puzzle games, All You Need is Help stands out for its simplicity transformed into depth through collaboration. It is a reminder that constraints can fuel creativity, and that sometimes the most memorable gameplay moments arise not from complexity, but from shared effort and laughter. Rating: 6/10
《All You Need is Help》简评
《All You Need is Help》
A fun game when you can actually get into a game. Nobody seems to be playing and you cannot play alone, and even then chances are you'll match with an afk troll who just plants themselves in the way.
