About
Aldriak, the advent of a new world takes place in a fantastic open world in which the player accompanies the heroes through their saga. It's an RPG turn-based strategy game inspired by the first games of the genre but with a new and original mechanic. This mechanic takes the form of 3 distinct rows in which all the fighters (players and creatures) are placed. Each skill requires being in a particular row and can only target by following certain rules.
Innovative and complex combat system
Row system to give a new dimension to the turn by turn. The rows define the range of the attacks and allow, among other things, to define a tank role that is not doomed to use a taunt all the time to attract attacks on him.
4 difficulties are available to satisfy both players who play to overcome challenges and those who play above all to live a story.
An original story
Aldriak lives his usual life as a well-known scientist of his time when transported to a world where technology does not seem to exist and where magic does exist. He meets a group of travelers who seek to stem the rituals of sacrifice that rule their world. Indeed, they tell Aldriak that they are forced to send their loved ones to be sacrificed so as not to suffer the wrath of the gods. But no one remembers who started this tradition, and what this wrath of the gods is.
What are the reasons that compel the people to send sacrifices?
How did Aldriak get into this world?
Extensive character development
Specialization choices that completely change a hero's gameplay. If you take the warrior from the group, he can end his career as a Berserker or as a Guardian. In the first case, he will strike harder and harder as he loses life while in the second case, he will take care of protecting the group with defensive skills.

Points to be distributed at each level and which are not final. It is possible to redistribute all the Level Points between each fight, allowing to change the gameplay during the story or to adapt to certain bosses that require a particular strategy.
Possibility to modify the equipment which can be gained on certain monsters or made at a blacksmith.
A rich universe
Many secrets and puzzles
Over 300 different monsters
90+ achievements
5 different possible epilogues
50+ hours of play
Toughest ending boss that ever existed
And so much more!

Reviews
As i tested this game before its launch and looked over almost all dialogues, i can assure you there is a lot going on underneath. The solo dev poured everything he could into this for many years and is open to any commentary. If you like stories, like most games, the start can be a bit overloaded at first. Once past the intro, the story is well-paced with multiple ending with some more classic and other massively disturbing. In the description it says more than 100h if you want to 100% the game, i think it's a lot more. Unlocking more and more characters and exploring more islands can leads to understand the world more, with no useless side quest (alleluia). if you're more combat-oriented, there's an incredible amount of customization. Each character has his own skill tree and gameplay preferences. Choices in the story will influence how certain characters are played, both in gameplay and appearance. There's no obligation to play the main character if you don't like how he feels. You may be tempted to grind to get through fights more easily, but in truth it's potentially quicker, if not necessary, to customize your team to suit the fight in question. A lot of boss/unique fight are in fact puzzles.
Overall I really like this game, it can be a bit slow to walk around everywhere, but once You get off the first island things get much grander in scale. Level 20 for Your first specialisations and choosing complementary builds certainly help. You have a crew of 8 but a party size of 4 with the ability to switch when You want provided the character isn't knocked out. I am only 11 hours in at this point but I am really liking where the story is going. Choices Matter. I would probably give it an 8/10 and for a rpg maker game Its a really good one!
It is a captivating indie RPG that successfully delivers a fresh and immersive fantasy experience. From the very first moments, the game draws players into a meticulously crafted world filled with rich lore, diverse characters, and a storyline that balances mystery, emotion, and high-stakes adventure. One of the game's standout strengths is its world-building. The environments are beautifully designed, offering a variety of locations that each feel unique and purposeful. The soundtrack complements the atmosphere perfectly, enhancing the emotional beats of the narrative and the intensity of battles. Gameplay-wise, Aldriak blends classic JRPG elements with modern mechanics, offering strategic combat, meaningful character progression, and thoughtful side quests. The pacing is well-balanced, and there’s a real sense of discovery as you explore the world and uncover its secrets. What sets Aldriak apart is the developer’s clear passion and attention to detail. Whether it’s the hand-crafted visuals, the well-written dialogue, or the engaging progression system, every element feels intentional and polished. For fans of story-driven RPGs and indie games that dare to create their own mythos, Aldriak The Advent of a New World is an absolute gem. It’s a reminder that great storytelling and immersive gameplay don’t require AAA budgets—just vision, heart, and craftsmanship. Strongly recommend to all who loves RPGMaker games
It's a pretty deep RPGmaker game. I wish it did better so it could get some updates like Wooden Ocean, and Empire Chronicles. The game is still very very fun and if you are the fence you should give it a try.
I normally skip over RPG maker games, I'm glad i made an exception this time. so far I'm enjoying it, I can see that the game was made care. one criticism i have with is game is that the game is translated form another language and it shows it sometimes, but its only minor and its not a deal breaker. to me this is a hidden gem. kudos to the dev.
If you love challenging and fun rpgs, then I highly recommend this game. Not only are the graphics lovely, but the gameplay and strategy are good with humor thrown in too! Can not wait to play more and really get more in depth into Aldriak's journey into his new world.
Normally, I don't leave reviews, but I'm doing so in hopes that it will help this unappreciated game out and bring some love and attention to it. Don't let the looks of this game mislead you: It might look like standard RPGMaker game, but it has insane depth. Character / team building and customization goes really deep. The battle system takes up 3 columns, Front row at risk of taking hits, middle row for damage dealers and back row for supporters. Giving the players a grand total of 8 characters with multiple class branching at the end of each chapter, players can build each character they want in consideration of the battle. Each level up affords stat points that can be reallocated freely and there are a bunch of build-enabling equipment. For players who enjoy the min-maxing, this will surely be up your valley. The game is also a love letter to old school RPGs. Talking to random NPCs actually gives substantial information in each zones. Maps are generally huge and encourage exploration due to the number of secrets and side quests in them. Most notably, each level comes with their own unique mechanism which players might love or hate, but it does work its magic on nostalgia. As of this moment of the review, I am currently in the final chapter of the game, playing on the hardest difficulty. Balance of the bosses are very well done; while they are really challenging, none of them are considered insurmountable as long as the players are willing to put in a bit of effort to redistribute and re-equip the team members for the fight, somewhat like solving a puzzle. The translation is a bit odd at times, but is still ultimately serviceable. All in all, give the game a go if gameplay is what you value the most!
