I found myself lying in a strange place. I had no idea where I was or why I had come here. The only thing I knew was that I had come looking for something.

Off limits | AKAZU Off limits Японский хоррор.
A walking sim with next to no story. Incredibly boring.
So, while playing and streaming this, I noticed that the bathrooms were the traditional style of Japanese architecture that allows one to basically wash down the whole area at once. This is a superior design to western bathrooms in that it facilitates easy cleaning. Why am I writing this? Because the discussion about bathrooms that evolved from chat was far more interesting than this game. Just avoid it.
Absolute ass of a game. Don't bother
"AKAZU Off limits" is yet another first person horror adventure game with asset flip looking Unreal assets. This one is particularly shallow compared to the literally hundreds, if not thousands of borrowed-asset/game template first person horror adventures on Steam. What do you do in the game? With a friendly Japanese theme, you go into an old Japanese dwelling with nice tatami mats and things and get jumpscared by a ghost. Yeah, that's it. There's nothing of substance to this. The game graphics look better than you might expect, but that's just because it looks like some or all of them are "borrowed" from asset stores or wherever. Gamers can tell... and it comes across as insincere. There's also the old adage that those who lack the budget and talent to make their own game assets usually lack the budget and talent to do the rest of the job of game development properly, too. This is "free" enough, at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 9 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.
AKAZU Off Limits is a short and scary game with an awesome and creepy atmosphere. The game environment really conveys a sense of fear and loneliness. The story might not be very deep, but for a free and short game, it’s an interesting and exciting experience. If you like psychological horror games, definitely give it a try!
