Agricultural Simulator: Historical Farming is a farming simulation game developed by Actalogic and published by United Independent Entertainment that separates itself from many agricultural titles by focusing on farming during an earlier period of history rather than modern large-scale agriculture. Set around farming methods and machinery associated with the 1950s through the 1970s, the game aims to capture a more traditional agricultural experience where older equipment, slower progression, and hands-on field work define everyday life. Instead of emphasizing cutting-edge machinery and industrial efficiency, it builds its identity around nostalgia and the challenges of farming during a different era. The game's central concept immediately gives it a unique place within the farming simulation genre. Rather than handing players enormous modern harvesting machines and advanced automation systems, Historical Farming asks players to rely on vintage tractors and older agricultural technology inspired by historical farming practices. This shift changes the pacing significantly. Work feels more deliberate, progress arrives more gradually, and operating equipment carries a different rhythm compared to modern farming simulators built around speed and optimization. Players take responsibility for maintaining farmland while planting crops, cultivating fields, and managing agricultural operations over time. Building a successful farming operation remains the primary objective, but the journey focuses heavily on patience and routine rather than rapid expansion. The simulation encourages players to settle into the slower pace of rural life, where progress develops steadily through consistent work rather than aggressive business growth. One of the more interesting additions comes through the terrain interaction systems. Field conditions influence machinery movement, and working the land creates visible changes that contribute to immersion. Tractor handling adjusts according to ground conditions, helping agricultural work feel more physical and connected to the environment. While not revolutionary by current simulation standards, the system reinforces the feeling that field management involves more than simply driving vehicles between objectives. The environments themselves contribute strongly to atmosphere. Agricultural Simulator: Historical Farming offers distinct regions inspired by European landscapes that emphasize scenic countryside settings. Rolling hills, forests, open fields, and rural terrain support the slower pace effectively. The game spends less time trying to create constant activity and more time encouraging players to appreciate the farming process itself. There are moments where simply operating machinery across quiet farmland becomes part of the appeal. Historical machinery remains one of the title's strongest features. The older farming equipment creates a very different experience compared to simulators centered entirely around modern agricultural technology. Vintage tractors and farming tools reinforce the time period successfully while giving machinery enthusiasts something uncommon within the genre. Players interested in agricultural history may appreciate the effort placed into recreating farming from previous generations. The slower gameplay philosophy works both as a strength and weakness. For players seeking a relaxing management experience focused on routine and steady development, Historical Farming delivers exactly that. The deliberate pacing creates authenticity and reinforces the historical setting. However, players accustomed to faster progression systems or more dynamic simulation mechanics may eventually find repetition difficult to overlook. Farm management still plays an important role throughout progression. Expanding operations, improving efficiency, and balancing responsibilities provide long-term goals that keep the experience moving forward. The satisfaction comes less from rapid advancement and more from watching smaller accomplishments gradually transform farmland into a more capable agricultural operation. However, technical limitations become increasingly difficult to ignore during extended play sessions. Vehicle handling occasionally lacks refinement, interface systems feel dated, and mechanical roughness appears frequently enough to impact immersion. Certain gameplay systems show ambition but do not always execute smoothly. Players willing to tolerate older design limitations may adapt more easily, but technical inconsistencies remain among the game's more noticeable weaknesses. Visual presentation similarly reflects the era in which the game released. Environmental design succeeds at establishing atmosphere, but animation quality, texture detail, and overall polish feel noticeably outdated compared to stronger simulation competitors. While presentation does not completely undermine the experience, it becomes clear that Historical Farming belongs to an earlier generation of farming simulation development. Even with its shortcomings, Agricultural Simulator: Historical Farming deserves recognition for attempting something uncommon. Rather than following trends toward increasingly modern agricultural simulation, it embraces farming history and rural nostalgia as defining strengths. That historical identity helps the game stand apart despite its rough edges. Players fascinated by vintage farming equipment, slower simulation pacing, and agricultural history may find value within its focused approach. It lacks refinement and occasionally struggles with technical execution, but underneath those flaws exists a simulation experience genuinely interested in celebrating traditional farming practices and an earlier era of agriculture. Agricultural Simulator: Historical Farming succeeds most when viewed as a nostalgic farming experience built around historical authenticity rather than modern convenience, delivering a slower but occasionally rewarding journey through agricultural life from decades past. attempt 1: crashed as soon as i tried to use the tractor attempt 2: crashed as soon as i loaded in attempt 3: was able to use the tractor, drove around for a short bit, with zero clue on where im supposed to start, and then it crashed.
Честно, игра интересная, довел бы кто до ума... В сравнении с фс это действительно реалистичный процесс, сам вспахивай поле, сам сей, сам цепляй, все ручками. Пофиксить баги и будет очередная игра "для своих".
this is a good game if you know how to fix the bug or two very cheap and not bad for $7.50 buy this if you want a cheap farming game
It did run, but this just wasn't my game. Graphics were dated (I mean, it's 11 years old, so that's what I get for trying). It was slow and unengaging.
