I was really hoping this was going to be a real competitor in the farm sim market but its not. It does less then other games and what it does offer is offered better by other farming sim games. They claim to be "the most immersive agricultural sim around." the game looks like it was made 4 years ago, there is less to do then other farming sim games and if you felt like the controls are bad in farming simulator 17, they are worse in Real Farm. The world feels dead there is one red car driving around thats it. there is no people no trafic nothing im sorry but how can you call that "the most immersive agricultural sim around." its like a ghost town. If you want a farming sim go play farming simulator 17 and skip this one.
Here's the thing. I want so bad for a company to bring some competition to the table, someone that will push farming simulator to be better. I thought I will try this game give it a chance. It was made by serious developers who could take it the next level if given the chance... BUT it is too bad. The bad 1. no steering wheel support in a tractor driving game 2. sounds worse than I've heard in a game for a lot of years. 3. horrible controls with no option to adjust them. 4. ok graphics but not close to what I was expecting. 5. even the menu was glitchy The good 1. Ran great Here's why I wanted to like this game. I hav almost 3000 hours on farming simulator. I know that if this game had a large enough player base that Soedesco could see the worth in making it better that they would invest the time and money necessary to make something amazing. I knew that if this one did well they would make another one. I didn't want to be one of those people who didn't give it a chance and caused another good potential game to die..... Well unfortunately I can't give it a recommendation. I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt knowing that Farming simulator had so many years to get it where it is and that we shouldn't expect a new product to be able to do as much or work as good right when it is released. We take a lot for granted in farming simulator I am finding. My recommendation to Soedesco and Triangle Studios is this: Yes there is a market for this. Yes if you release a good game you will make money. This product is unfortunately, only making you look bad and you should either remove it permanently, put it in pre alpha, or remove it and set a new release date.... I truly appreciate that an effort was made but this product was not ready and doesn't compete in any way yet. Thank you for your efforts... Don't give up, but don't try to release this level of product.

I cannot understand why the reviews for this game are so bad; I can only assume the majority of people went into this thinking it was going to be Farming Simulator 17 but better and it's just not... Unlike the Farming Simulator series Real Farm is not pretending to be a Simulator, it is a fully fledged SimCade title with Simulation elements included. Seriously this is Farming Simulators biggest competitor right now. Think about it; - Cattle & Crops is a hardcore Farming Simulator & FS17 cannot compete. I doubt FS19 will either, Giants are too lazy. - Pure Farming isn't out yet (for at least another week). - Professional Farmer wasn't ready for release. - Then there's Farm Expert... - Farmers Dynasty is Great...but a totally different gaming approach. So this game is not perfect, it has a few bugs and glitches that do need to be sorted. The UI and controller interface is good & bad (needs some adjusting) and of course there are no BIG names included here. But if you have an XBOX controller & you just want to chill out, play a career as a farmer then this is spot on. == GOOD == - It's very beautiful, especially sunrise and sundown. - It runs very well (4k @60FPS). - Detailed field + Soil management (Much better than FS17 without mods!). Adds so much more complexity. - The tractors & Equipment are very realistic and nicely modelled. - Career mode....how long have we asked Giants for this? - The city/town layout along with the graphics is great! - Tiredness, you have to sleep! - Realtime economy. - Realistic pricing of jobs, equipment and property. == BAD == - Some tree popping occurs. - Lighting although excellent; does occasionally bug out for a second or two. - Sometimes equipment can have a glitch session (But that never happens on FS17 does it????????? lol ). - No licensed brands. - Not enough machinery...DLC's could fix but the price MUST be very fair. - No Chaff. - Limited worker functionality. - Basic Livestock management. - No MP. - Vehicle indicators (This was just a terribly bad decision - I think we all know it). - No Modding (This is the biggest issue, FS17 is just crap without Mods...Similar issue here). - No working mirrors. == CONCLUSION == The good bits are exceptionally good and let's not forget this is SOEDESCO’s first crack at a Farming (Sim). Compare this to Farming Simulator 2008-13 and I am 100% certain this is the better game by a mile! Most of the Bad points relate to lack of Simulation elements, but it's really not trying that hard to be a Simulator IMHO. This is a Simcade for relaxed Farming experience and I think it has done a fantastic job at that. IMHO I prefer the Simulation aspects of Cattle & Crops everytime but Giants insulted the entire community with their Train inclusion in 2017 and lack of development, this could very possibly become a genuine competitor. I hope, I really do hope there is a Real Farm 19. If they improve on all the Really Good bits here & tweak or fix the missing parts & add modding to the game, this could blow FS & Giants out of the water. Thank you for reading.
Pretty fun and basic game. if your going for your first farming game i think this one is the one to go for, then go over to fs 19 or cattle and crops. This game explains every thing you need too do and you dont look like a question mark when you start the game. the reviews now are mixed, i think most of the people that leave this a bad review thinks that it is as good at fs 19. now this game is a lot cheaper than fs, not that it is cheap! i would recommend that you buy it when it comes on sale. Overall 7/10
This would be my first "farm simulation" game but it's the last time I pre-order a game without knowing what I really am getting. Can't believe I paid hard earned money for this game. Graphics are good but I can't even adjust the sensitivity of my mouse?... There might be other cars driving around but no one is driving them. I would probably pay $10-$15 for this game and that's a stretch. Driving tractors feels hard to do with the turning radius you have. Maybe it's just me. Maybe not. I wouldn't buy this game.
Farming simulator 200- , sorry I mean Real farm
The game where you can play Farming Simulator 2009, but really unpolished and feeling more incomplete then a half-eaten apple. I can see the developers had great ambition however it was clearly wasted on details and other components that are not needed directly for the foundation of a farming simulator. Introduction In real farm you are an aspiring farmer growing from helping hand to true independent farmer where you don’t have to rent everything you find, the only problem is that this is not a Bethesda RPG it’s a farming simulator; the game suffers from many problems, although most of the core aspects are there many nice yet unimportant things have been added at cost of the base game. On the steam page you can see the vision the developers have for the game, and when you play it you can see all the things they have not achieved. Graphics Out of all the parts of the game this one is done the best, it has impressive visuals which look good and are pleasing to the eye. Sadly the developers have forgotten that a game should not rely on its graphics to be good. Instead it should rely on its gameplay and other aspects; as I saw the realistic shadows flow through a cornfield I thought: wow, that’s some wasted resources . Not only graphics but physics as well, when the objects actually collide when they’re supposed to, are quite enhanced as well as parts of my supersized lawnmower could get dislodged after I rammed it into the only car on the highway in the surrounding 200 miles. This also goes for the UI (User Interface) which besides from looking exactly like Farm Simulator does function like it’s supposed to, weirdly enough some of the options are incredibly useless or are another case of “wasted resources”. Unfinished Real farm seems very incomplete. often I can find myself wanting to do things that I can’t, doing things that should be implemented and doing things that should not be possible by the laws of gravity. I feel like the developer has gone from the basics of the game to the most tiny details and worked on from there, there is a large economy system with multiple farms everywhere and deposits yet no one is around; the place is a ghost town with 1 car driving around which sadly cannot be destroyed by a combine harvester. I can go up to another farmer’s land, farm his crops and go back again to sell them at the local deposit, not only is this an indication that the game isn’t finished it’s also an indication that in the world of Farming thievery is apparently a much more profitable career then farming your own crops. Tutorial The supposed tutorial In the game is practically a large list of tasks you have to complete because of the game wanting you to do so. In this “tutorial” you have to complete a list of boring tasks which mostly include do this for 100% or do that to… Not only does this not count as a tutorial it’s also lazy level design because to me it looks like the developers really didn’t care about the player understanding what he was doing. Sounds and Soundtrack Overall the sounds are alright though when driving for long periods, which you are going to be, they can become a bit annoying. The soundtrack however is definitely not so, it opens nice and charming and eventually keeps repeating itself until you go into the nicely crafted settings menu to turn it off. Sadly the soundtrack has also become a victim of “We put too much money in the graphics” Conclusion Real farm is just not finished, I can see that it still has potential but right now it just cannot compete with any of the other games in this genre because of its limitations. If the developers keep working on this and patching the massive holes in its core foundation then perhaps it can one day truly shine above the rest but now is not that time. And developers, please let me drive into a river with my 350.000 dollar tractor. I cannot recommend this game in its current state. Too many bugs are affecting the game experience. Spent 20 minutes ploughing a field in the tutorial, the plough fell off, wouldnt reconnect and was forced to restart. Also, you can drive underwater. music will play randomly for a 20 seconds, then stop for a minute, then play another different song for 20 seconds. Graphically its ok, but I barely reach 35fps with a GTX 970 and i7 4790k Game has potential, but not until its bugs are fixed. Pros: Controller Support Cons: Bugs as mentioned Poor optimization For now, stick to Farming Simulator 2017 until this one gets patched up. Feels rushed out, could do with some more testing.
The single-player-only game features a career mode with a simple tutorial and a free play mode where you start out with basic equipment. The interface is terrible across the board: the camera is erratic, the mouse sensitivity cannot be adjusted, the keyboard controls cannot be changed and there is not a list of even what they are (only gamepad controls are listed in the options screen), the map is too small, and it can be difficult to get into equipment. While the equipment have good models, the graphics feature poor road textures at a distance and graphical glitches like glowing lines spanning across fields. The game world is small, with only occasional cars and nobody else working the fields (including workers you can hire). Gameplay consists of driving across the same fields over and over again using different attachments to plow, cultivate, sow, fertilize, water, and harvest crops. You can raise animals, but this offers only a small amount of variety. You can also take jobs at other farms, but they are the same jobs available otherwise. Vehicle handling is poor: every vehicle accelerates and brakes at the same rate, and getting stuck on small objects is too easy. Real Farm doesn’t offer anything new or different, and what it does offer is significantly worse than the competition. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q76IrZM4jcY
Wertung:
7/10 Atmosphäre -/10 Story 7/10 Grafik 6/10 Sound 6/10 Spielmechanik 5/10 Balancing 6/10 Spielspass
Fazit:
Real Farm is really langatmig.
6/10 Gesamtwertung
I so wanted to like this game but i cant the cultivators are far too long and seem to be made of helium as every time you go over a bump in the game it seems like it wants to float away . in my opinion this could have been a good game if the developers had ironed out more bugs in the game, some parts work really well like the field textures and general graphics but its the little things that ruin it for me. It would be nice for these little items to get addressed at the moment the game is 75% there and would be nice to see it finished instead of working on dlc content for an unfinished game.
