3 Difficulty Levels
Every mission can be completed in 3 distinct difficulty modes (Agent, Special Agent, and 64 Agent). With higher difficulty comes more objectives, and more open areas to discover.
(Tip: Start with Agent to familiarize yourself with the missions, then ramp up the difficulty to discover what comes next.)
By beating par times and other trials, you can unlock Paradox Modes, which contain 70+ modifiers and cheats that enable various effects on regular gameplay, including:
Big Heads
Melee Disarms
Slow Bullet Speeds
No Reload
…and many more!
Ready for an unorthodox challenge? Complete Contracts: remixed missions with different objectives and Paradox mode pre-sets for additional Paradox unlocks.
Fight against friends in local split-screen multiplayer combat, or take the gunfight online with up to 8 players and 8 additional bots.
Enjoy full lobby customization including teams, weapon set, rule sets and paradox modifiers, with up to 10 saved pre-sets to your liking.
Deathmatch: Classic deathmatch, score the more frags to win!
Briefcase: Capture the briefcase and hold it for long enough to score a point. But don't get too comfortable, after each point won, the briefcase position is reset to a random point on the map.
Zone: You have to capture the zone on the map to score points. Don't let any enemy contest it as it will stall the countdown!
Challenges: special matches against pre-set bots where players must reach a precise score under a certain amount of time. The faster you win, the better the prizes. Unlock maps, characters, music tracks, and more!

Fun game. I never played the main games this is an homage to like Goldeneye and Perfect Dark, but I did appreciate the nod to Doom E1M1.
It gets the vibe right for GE/PD, but quickly becomes empty and soulless. I played the demo and thought it was great. Playing the full game goes downhill after the second level. It's a worse version of the old n64 mechanics. Shoot enemies to stun, throw trackers on some things, run to the end of the level, repeat. Getting stutters even on good hardware. I was hoping the story would pick up after a few levels but it feels like there was no effort put into it at all. I thought about refunding early in but stuck it out to see what the ending was. Not worth it. The story itself took maybe 1.5 hours, but you have to grind cyphers to unlock chapters which pads the time. Multiplayer looks mostly dead after the launch day.

Eh, I don't know how anyone feels a deep connection between this game and the N64 Rare titles that inspired it. The game looks similar. And it is an FPS. But that's where the similarities end. There is no flavor. No iconic characters, no engaging story. If you just want to pew-pew guys while playing something that looks like an N64 game in your memory, this is a great way to waste your money.
I really wish I could give this a positive review as I'd been looking forward to it for years but I really can't recommend the game in its present state. The presentation is really nice and its evident that theres a lot of love put into the GE64/PD vibes but unfortunately it really misses the mark apart from these. I've read a lot of complaints about the cypher system but personally never had much issue progressing through the acts (played on 00 Agent). However, the bigger problem with this is that the game makes itself about beaating the (incredibly tight) par time on every challenge and mission more than creating a solid campaign experience. Because of this the enemy variety really suffers and you fight essentially the same tuxedo grunts over and over for every level and when combined with an extremely lacklustre weapon pool where you see the same 3 guns every level. The AI is incredibly basic with either two modes of "clueless" or as soon as they detect you will run directly at you and fire across the level. They have essentially no reaction to anything soundwise and will ignore other enemies dying in front of them and react only when they see you which is a huge downgrade from GE/PD. These factors make the very few levels in the game feel incredibly barebones, linear, basic and offer little to do unless you're chasing those par times. Even something as basic as mission breifings would go a long way but it feels hard to be invested in the campaign/story when there is just no hook or anything tying the missions together. tl;dr: the game in its current state feels like a very early early access tech demo that feels like it could be built into something a lot bigger but at this point is a very, very expensive and short barebones experience that can't justify multiple replays unless you're chasing collectables.
It's okay, wasn't really worth the 7 year wait, and $19.99 for a game like this, but I guess most have forgotten that this exists now.
SENSACIONAL! E me encontre no banheiro cheio de vidros! SENSACIONAL!
This game is so so close to being perfect. Unfortunately I've got one issue that really hampers my enjoyment with the game. Atmosphere is great, Vibe is great, character design, weapon design, music, all of it is great. Level design from what I saw was good, But the combination of the very fast death animations and the black smoke effect that appears when enemies are shot just doesn’t feel particularly satisfying to me, an enemy can go from standing normally to dropping to his knees and being dead in less than half a second and the shooting effects themselves don't really give the impact of the hit much weight. The whole thing can feel like the game is saying, “Okay, that's done, keep moving,” rather than giving even a tiny moment of feedback for successfully taking an enemy down. This might sound like an incredibly small criticism, and I suspect plenty of players won't even notice it consciously. But killing enemies is such a fundamental part of the gameplay that I think these little details have a disproportionate effect on how satisfying the game feels. As it stands I'd wait for a sale. The foundation of a great game is in here, it just needs a bit of polish.
Its OK. Like, gameplay wise they absolutely NAILED that GE/PD feel and the artstyle is faithful... but I feel like they really missed the trick in atleast pushing the level design and gadget mechanics. Its a deliberate choice to handicap it as if it was made in the late 90s, but its done so at the cost of potentially being really interesting and evolving the formula a little. Its not PD/GE 2.0, its like the same game made with a different theme. And many people will love that. For me though, I'd have liked to have seen them do more to push it forward with level design and really interesting cool things on the maps. Think of the step forward in maps from GE to PD. This should have been that from PD to this. But instead, it feels almost like it sits pre-GE in some ways. the maps are very static and lack any real visual variety. This was a limitation in the day because of the technology and memory space for storing geometry and textures and they've kind of done the same here. You especially feel this in the cinematics. the game throws you in with little context. The story is light. The menus feel like Unity tutorial samples with a complete lack of theming.
