About
Step into an adrenaline-fueled, retro first-person shooter paying homage to the beloved console shooters of the ‘90s.
Engage in pulse-pounding shootouts against cutting-edge enemy AI straight out of the futuristic realm of 1997.
Embark on 14 daring missions as Secret Agent John Walter, an elite operative tasked with saving the world from his arch-nemesis, Dominic Pulp. Protect the future against the phantoms of the past.
Traverse skyscrapers, nightclubs, museums, catacombs, and snow bases in a heart-pumping journey of espionage.
Play the entire campaign as a one-man army or alongside friends via split-screen and online cooperative play!
Each story mission is a self-contained environment where you have to accomplish varied objectives, such as hacking terminals, stealing secret plans, freeing civilian hostages, and much more… all while fighting armed guards in epic shootouts, of course.
3 Difficulty Levels
Every mission can be completed in 3 distinct difficulty modes (Agent, Special Agent, and 64 Agent). With higher difficulty comes more objectives, and more open areas to discover.
(Tip: Start with Agent to familiarize yourself with the missions, then ramp up the difficulty to discover what comes next.)
By beating par times and other trials, you can unlock Paradox Modes, which contain 70+ modifiers and cheats that enable various effects on regular gameplay, including:
Big Heads
Melee Disarms
Slow Bullet Speeds
No Reload
…and many more!
Ready for an unorthodox challenge? Complete Contracts: remixed missions with different objectives and Paradox mode pre-sets for additional Paradox unlocks.
Fight against friends in local split-screen multiplayer combat, or take the gunfight online with up to 8 players and 8 additional bots.
Enjoy full lobby customization including teams, weapon set, rule sets and paradox modifiers, with up to 10 saved pre-sets to your liking.
Deathmatch: Classic deathmatch, score the more frags to win!
Briefcase: Capture the briefcase and hold it for long enough to score a point. But don't get too comfortable, after each point won, the briefcase position is reset to a random point on the map.
Zone: You have to capture the zone on the map to score points. Don't let any enemy contest it as it will stall the countdown!
Challenges: special matches against pre-set bots where players must reach a precise score under a certain amount of time. The faster you win, the better the prizes. Unlock maps, characters, music tracks, and more!

Haven't played Goldeneye in probably 20 years so me and the cousin had to pick this one up for that nostalgia. For me personally there was a slight learning curve level 1 for me so I struggled a bit, but once it all start clicking we were flying through the levels having a blast. I love retro games and tributes to the classics. Shout out to the single dev who made this game they definitely did their thing. Gonna have to mess around in the arena now too.
Good N64 Goldeneye style shooter. Gameplay is smooth and fun. Auto aim feels good with a mouse. I'm not a fan of locking access to the story acts behind obtaining a certain amount of cyphers. This means you have to go back and complete missions you've already done on harder difficulties in order to gain enough cyphers to complete the story. IMO you should be able to do a full run on the lowest difficulty setting and still experience everything, but this is not possible. It feels a little unfair on the player, especially if they are unable to complete missions on the higher difficulty, but it also kills the pacing as well as you lose momentum having to stop and retrace your steps.

Good game if you want mechanics that actually feel like Goldeneye.
this game is amazing and i dont leave reviews very often, ive really been looking forward to it since i first saw the trailers come out. agent 64 has everything i was hoping for from a 007, perfect dark type game. i love the gun variety, gadgets, and how smooth it controls. i still have more to do, and i hope the devs will continue with expansions or sequels
Very fun throwback arcade shooter. Super simple, but tons of fun and can get very challenging on higher difficulties. Solid good time
Very comfortable controls. somethings missing like more guns and crouching. Would recommend. Hopefully gets mod support.
A very fun love letter of times thought to be lost. Such a fun time with friends.
Smooth as hell until the dialogue opens its mouth
This is what happens when a GoldenEye-obsessed fan and a Perfect Dark worshipper have a baby, then decide the kid needs to be a self-aware internet meme while still trying to wear a tuxedo. A friend dumped a pile of retro links on me two weeks out. This was the only one that stuck. Demo hooked me. August 11 hits, I install, blow past the two missions I’d already beaten raw, and settle in expecting a cool sci-fi spy cyberpunk yarn starring some weathered spiritual successor to GoldenEye’s Bond. Even dragged the same buddy into co-op up the mountain level! Expectations were high. They did not survive contact. The game plays smooth as hell and multiplayer is a genuine blast when it works. Then you sit alone with the story and the dialogue starts. It wants to be serious and a meta-punk joke machine at the same time. The villain literally calls John a boomer shooter. I sighed out loud and started living for the missions that kept their mouths shut. There’s an infiltration level that almost gets it—sneak, photograph, stay undercover, pure Mission: Impossible N64 party-scene energy—until higher difficulties just tell you to open fire like every other level. Suddenly it’s Doom with a spy skin instead of GoldenEye or Perfect Dark with actual tension. It echoes both those games hard. Castle sniper objective is Carrington Villa with the serial numbers filed off. Temple is pure GoldenEye cosplay. But it never finds the charisma of 007 or the weird attitude and mystery Perfect Dark had in its bones. Still, the movement feels great, the shooting is satisfying, and the soundtrack is the clear MVP. I already subscribed to Dario Galizia and have the tracks on loop. Multiplayer is a ghost town. Four or five lobbies, two guys grinding 50-kill matches that take forever, and when you finally get in the “paradox” modifiers are piled so high you spend half the time figuring out the rules instead of shooting. A two-player game should not be a marathon. Players: Scale the damn thing. It’s not a bad game. Nostalgic fans will eat it up. It’s just really hard to bottle what those late-’90s shooters did to a whole generation. This one comes close on feel and then trips over its own tongue.
Adored it. This game found its way to me. I had never heard of it, and it was releasing in a few days. I was hooked. I got my grubby little hands on it and played it with glee. It scratched that itch that GoldenEye, Perfect Dark & Time Splitters left in me. It's a pure dose of nostalgia. The graphics, music, guns, sound effects, voice acting (grunts); characters general, hit & death animations; the level design, the difficulty impacting the mission objectives. I am 100% nostalgia blinded, and this game hit every sweet spot. I'm looking forward to clearing it on every difficulty, and trying to speedrun the levels (poorly). There is just one section,
the start of level 11, which annoyed me. On harder difficulties it felt like the enemies were coming too fast and out of any clear patterns. It felt more like fluke than skill that I scraped through the intro to that mission after repeated fails, with enemies spawning through too many locations, with way too high damage output to you, and the target you're protecting. It felt more like a chore than a satisfying challenge
. I played through the campaign on Special Agent in around 6 hours on stream, having to go back to a couple of earlier levels on Easy or 64 Agent to collect enough Cyphers to unlock all acts. I didn't think the cyphers to unlock acts was particularly annoying, like I've seen others suggesting. I look forward to exploring the challenges, the bot arenas, online co-op and multiplayer, but even the single-player campaign felt worth the asking price in my opinion.
Loved it, but it needs more weapons and more enemy variety (simply reskins would do) to really be the perfect homage to GE/PD.
