Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 23 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Aetherial is a first-person psychological horror set in a forest that turns on you as the daylight dies. While the sun is up, the woods are navigable. You retrace his steps, recover the things he left scattered in the trees, and raise your camera to film what shouldn't be there. Get it on tape and the dark loosens its grip - for a while.
Then the sun drops. Your compass begins to drift. Then spin. Then die. The ambient sound bleeds away until there is only your breathing, and every direction looks the same. You stop being certain which way you came from.
And you are not alone out here.
Retrace his steps. Recover the missing hiker's belongings scattered through the forest before night falls.
Film the impossible. Record the things that shouldn't exist to hold back the fear. Optional. Tempting. Never safe.
A compass that dies with the light. Your only way back to the path drifts, spins, and fails as the danger rises and the sun sets.
Stray from the path and the forest changes. Fog thickens, time runs faster, and something begins to notice you.
No combat. No escape. She's already ahead of you. The only way out is to find everything before dark.
Found-footage presentation. The whole descent runs through a CRT/VHS filter for degraded, recorded-tape dread - toggleable for accessibility.
Some people go into the forest and are not found. You came to see what it took.
You should have left while it was light.
When I first played it, the game felt a bit too guided and easy to rush through, which made the horror lose a lot of its impact. Since then, the developer updated the game so it no longer holds your hand as much, and that’s a very good change. Having to figure things out yourself makes the forest feel more unsettling and gives the experience more room to breathe. It’s still not the scariest game out there, and some of the events feel more paranormal than genuinely frightening, but the atmosphere is solid. The sound design works well too, although it can become a little repetitive after multiple runs. Overall, Aetherial is a decent short atmospheric walk with nice visuals, solid audio, and a developer who seems very responsive with fixes and improvements. Worth checking out if you like slower, no-combat horror experiences.
Creepy, and really does provide the atmosphere of being truly lost in the woods. Definitely did not like recording some random trees and finding out I was recording "Something in the Bushes". :) I played it without reading anything from the game description since I like going into things cold. Really enjoyed the video filter and lack of immediate in-game guidance, it made the experience very spooky.
This game has a good premise and I enjoyed the aesthetic but the slow burn of the game is a bit to slow. The path is difficult to find, and that makes it hard to find items in the woods. I enjoyed my time in the game, but wish the mechanics were a bit more fleshed out. If you don't mind vague premises and exploring a seemingly endless sprawl of woods, Give it a try.
