Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.25/day in the week to Aug 3 → 2.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

With a writing team that includes credits on Far Cry, Mass Effect, and Sovereign Syndicate, Aether & Iron brings to life an alternate timeline in which anti-gravitational aether technology has reshaped the city skyline and deepened social divides.
Thoroughly researched and inspired by real-life counterparts from 1930s New York City, explore its backstreets, dive into its seedy underbelly, marvel at stunning architecture, and peel back the city's many layers of power and greed.
Your choices shape not just your path, but the city's fate as well. Will you rise as a savior, withdraw as a renegade, or evolve into a symbol of resilience in a world of authoritarian barons and high-stakes strategy?

What good is a smuggler without a good getaway car? Assemble a wide range of incredible aether-powered vehicles and unlock new tactical options to try out in an interesting twist on strategic, turn-based vehicular battles.
Tinker with your rides to suit your playstyle. Do you prefer moving hard and fast, relying on speed for quick getaways? Or perhaps you might prefer to slap on some steel plates and bust out the grenade launcher!

The streets of New York can be unforgiving without reliable backup. Recruit unique and resourceful companions to watch your back, and follow their stories. Each is armed with a range of talents that can make all the difference in a jam.
We have over 200 voiced characters in the game, here are a few:

Dive Into An Underground Life: Navigate secret paths, dodge enemies, hide contraband, and stay ahead of the big bosses out to get you. Perhaps join a rebellion along the way.
Your Choices Matter: Your decisions will shape the unfolding history of New York and the lives of its citizens, determining whether they will be able to find hope in a corrupt world of manipulation and violence.
Grow Your Talents: Level up your Hustle, Smarts, and Brass abilities to improve your chances in combat and social situations. But no matter how good you are always a dice roll away from success or failure.
Drive In Style: Upgrade your aether-powered rides to suit your playstyle. Enhance your cars with every trick in the smuggler’s toolkit - hidden compartments, smoke dispensers, and flamethrowers of course.
Hand-drawn Art: Inspired by 1930’s Detective Comics and the Art Deco period, Aether & Iron brings a unique visual identity to gameplay.
Full English Language Voice Acting: Experience an alt-history 1930s New York directly through the voices of its inhabitants. Learn their stories; sometimes funny, sometimes philosophical, usually tragic.

Reviews
I remember seeing Aether & Iron and liking how the game seemed to work. I was surprised that you're not a detective because it feels like you should be. This is my honest opinion as a streamer/Vtuber. That this game to me personally was great. I love the voices, the characters as everyone felt unique and original. It's why I have 23 hours into this game because i'm currently streaming it. The story feels engaging and I've gotten more and more interested into the lore. The entire game thus far appears to be fully narrated too, along with having fun tactical combat. I would say it's worth a pickup. I don't leave reviews too often, but if I enjoyed something I feel that was just that damn good it deserves my thumbs up. Note; I will always leave a honest review even if I receive a item of free. I mostly place reviews on those games that left a good lasting impact on me.
Great game, amazing voice acting, really good art! Please get this! We need more games like this and I adore the setting.

Awesome game. Would have liked to see more combat, maybe recurring skirmish you could opt into?
A stylish noir visual novel with engaging tactical combat, excellent world-building, and a story that leaves you awaiting the sequel. --------------------- Стыльная нуарная візуальная навэла з цікавымі тактычнымі баямі, выдатна прапрацаваным светам і сюжэтам, пасля якога хочацца убачыць працяг.
good game
If you're looking for an fun twist on Turn Based RPGs with a whole heaping pile of style and flair, this really hit the mark for me! The art is gorgeous and the characters are incredibly fun. Many times I'm very hesitant when games tout voice acting, but the performances really add to the experience. Has its flaws, but nothing ever came close to turning me off. I ran into a glitch that a restart fixed. A few game mechanics could have been better explained. The game is pretty linear. That's about it. The dev team is really responsive, too, so it feels good to talk about your experience with them. With the games in the world becoming more driven by micro transactions, subscriptions, and AI, it's nice to play a game that's one part fun engagement, and one part work of art. If that's what you're looking for, give this one a shot. I had a blast!
I’m only 4 hours in, but I like it so far. The art and voice acting are solid.
stylish and fun
Fantastic game, 80% narrative lead storytelling, a bit of dice rolling, and really fun X-Com style car combat system. But what makes this game great is the story and the wild world. Set in a noir New York, Aether was discovered to make anti gravity devices. This includes allow entire cities to be floating. You'll be playing as Gia "Eight Shot", as she picks up a job to escort some fancy bumkin to the Lowers, where crime and corruption is rife. And from there a simple escort blows out to a greater mystery. Great voice work in this. The actress voicing Gia is superb. Everyone does a great job, I could have sworn Danny DeVito was playing one of the characters until I looked up the casting! So if you enjoy noir mystery narrative lead games, throw in some fun strategy combat, pick this game up now!!
