Nice references, cute looking. The gameplay is simple - find a thing and trade it for something else to advance. A lot of decisions are irrational so prepare yourself to use some of the items on everyone. It sounds like a bad game design and it really is, but here we have an unique reaction for every being for each item so you won't get bored.

https://youtu.be/jPVFr_NK9Z0 A lighthearted adventure game offering some simple puzzles along the way. It doesn't take any risks or stand out from the crowd.
Adventure Boy Cheapskate DX is a simplistic classical adventure game written literally in Adobe Flash where you control an impoverished North American youth whose bicycle is stolen from outside a convenience store. Walk around with the arrow keys and use Z and X and <space> to interact with NPCs and quest items. Apart from the plot being terrible, the graphics here are amazing. Not kidding, the game was written in Flash and it's complete and awful rubbish, but they still managed to create something that looks better than retro pixel graphics like most indie devs do because they don't have the talent for real graphics. Anyway, the game is written in Flash and it's pointless shovelware bundletrash, so nobody should play it ever, apart from indie retro pixel devs who need to learn even the worst games ever on Steam don't need crappy pixel graphics.
I had fun. It's as basic as basic gets and indeed a flash game. 10/Newgrounds

imma be honest with you chief. this game sucks. taking every item to every person and going to every place and looking in every spot? not my idea of fun.
Unfortunately this cannot be bought anymore in the Steam store, but if you manage to buy this somewhere else or have it in your library, this is a nostalgia trip akin to those old flash games in the early 2000's. Well worth it.
Not bad.
