NOT GUILTY LOL!!!
Actually awesome. A heap of fun. I gave up because I suck at game lmao but I quite enjoyed it. Would be even better if each level was different not the same map each time.
Dixon playing and reviewing a twin stick shooter that's not appropriate for woke snowflakes! It involves eliminating zombified commies! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GxVkPq7ah0k&ab_channel=UltimateGamingRealm
Acquitted (alternate title: Honey, I Owned The Libs) is a very basic wave-based twin-stick shooter where you play as someone that looks super familiar but I can't quite put my finger on blowing away what appears to be "anti-fascist" and "communist" zombies. It's clear that this game was designed for a very specific audience and of course the game has a bunch of positive reviews from said audience, but I'm entirely indifferent to the politics the game is trying to push. So, launching this, I wanted to know, does Acquitted stand up well as a game? Well, my feelings are mixed. I played 10 levels before I was tired of playing the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ over and over again. There is admittedly a bit of weapon variety as you collect more and more throughout the levels, but the game is 90% the same enemies and 100% the same level. The enemies do get slightly stronger as the game progresses; for example, they might gain special abilities or new weapons, but once you learn how the new abilities work it's just the same old ♥♥♥♥ again. And then you have the bosses that show up from time to time, and the game ramps up the difficulty on them by giving them new abilities, more health, or simply more of of the individual boss in a given wave. There's supposedly at least 1 other boss in the game that I hadn't encountered yet but my expectations are low as to how that plays out. I wish Steam had a "mixed" option, as I would select it here, but I'm going to select thumbs up solely based on the fact that the game is bargain-bin priced, usually less than $4 on sale, and if you're a fan of the "politics" or this specific type of game you'll probably have a lot of fun with it. It's just not for me.
Baited by the Overwhelmingly Positive review into buying an underwhelming game. Felt and looked like an old Flash game. Wasnt my thing. Buy it if you want mindless, repetitive gameplay or to 'own the Libs'. Refunding.
Silly mini game, fun for 3 to 8 min, not even the polemics save it, as has very few enemies, weapons, and even jokes.
Amazing game. More accurate news then CNN. Bought it on discount myself, but this is the first game I recommend buying at full price. Support Based Games
Reminiscent of great flash games one might have come across back in 2002 on Newgrounds etc. It's a top down twin stick style shooter with a lot of humour. You're fighting a zombie apocalypse that consists of far-left extremists and Communists. Great stuff. There's different weapons, enemy types and levels with increasing difficulty.
I've been having a lot of fun with this game :)
absolutely a banger of a game
