A complete disappointment to be honest. Well done for students, but absolutely irresponsible Achievements in the game either have an incorrect description or a broken counting feature. Even if you dash against the rock, you need to spend a lot of time on this. And it’s still not a fact that you will succeed. Although even so, the game lasts 15-20 minutes, it’s very easy to go through the tutorial and 2 stages, no story, a simple “arcade” only with a broken system. They didn’t even bother to remove the game from early access or finish it in any way
Awesome flying game

Очень залипательно. Надо доработать игру
Игра в старом стиле, как с PS1 или игровых автоматов. Очень короткая.
Awesome :D
"Aces in the Dust" is one of literally thousands of student projects infesting Steam. It's from ESAT in Valencia, Spain. While student projects tend to be better quality than most "amateur" made games, we must still question what value such projects have for gamers. As with all student projects, this isn't really a fully fleshed out game, it's just the result of an academic exercise, and as such it has much more limited value as a game than a professionally developed game would have. Educational institutions should not be using Steam as a dumping ground for homework assignments (especially if the students didn't even pass the course). Sure, it helps their marketing and helps the students feel good about themselves, but this is another case of a business putting themselves before the needs of gamers. The students started to make a third person rear-view arcade shooter/rail shooter with a choice of three warplanes with various firepower, which might work in a shallow kind of way, if they had bothered to finish it. What's the lesson here? ESAT teaches students it's okay not to finish what they start, and just dump it out on Steam anyway. Unfortunately, this means the students are perfectly qualified to work for any AAA studio, because dumping unfinished games on Steam is the new black... everyone does it, and it needs to stop. Did I mention today that Early Access has been a well intentioned disaster? How about we don't let anyone publish a game until it's finished? Let's stop rewarding developers for not finishing games. And let's not teach students that it's ok not to finish their work. The developers abandoned this 4 years and 1 month ago. It will never be completed. This unfinished game is just polluting Steam and making it harder for gamers to find genuinely, completely made games. The game is quite short, and can be run through in just 20 minutes. The lack of content here makes it hard to suggest it's worth spending the time to add to your library and download. The graphics in this game are passable, but could be better. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. To be worth a gamers time, the game must match top tier visuals with top tier gameplay, and that's not happening here. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. It would be unethical for students to try charge money for their homework assignments, so you don't have to pay any money for this. But you'd still have to spend your time downloading this, and "time is money", as they say. So much for the matter of pricing. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 6 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Given that this free title won't increase your game collector count, is it worth your time to add it to your library? Not on a bet. I didn't have to pay for this, but I still feel like I wasted my money.

Looks like a homework or semester project of a student major in GameDev, I have seen 3 sterotypes of flight games: 1.You cannot move, just shoot anywhere on the screen, like a bomber tail gunner 2.You can move on the screen the shoot targets on the screen, like airplanes using a auto-nav with emergency maneuver mechanism. 3.You can fly anywhere and shoot anything you want, standard flight action games, it grant more free for players, but the content could be empty. This game is the second type, I think it havent make full use of the track mechanism, or I should say, the quantity and quality of the major content do not match the type, it more likes a 3rd type indie game but with limit free-to-interact (you can fly anywhere)
Good game!
Before I played Aces in the Dust, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
