I've been following this game since its inception when it was nothing more than a gripe about Albion Online's short-comings. The game is not in a state where i can honestly say i want to play it, but i look forward to testing new mechanics when they come and don't mind waiting. Games aren't made overnight. Looking forward to Arena and Open World PVP!
awful game
игра не работает постоянные вылеты
I playtested when the first version came out and have been following along the project since. The devs are always active in the community and the game has made much progress since the first test. Today I logged in and was able to build a house, craft my gear, craft potions, and kill monsters. plenty of bugs to be found and its in a rough state but worth checking out, but don't expect WoW. Beware of Dsviceroys review. this guy spammed everyone in their discord over 10 times messaging them the reddit site and he is still spamming on the reddit site. Proof is below.. someone must have hurt this guy bad! https://gyazo.com/c278277c590d46a960d89e3c09bd270d
I've watched the development for this game over the past 2 or so years, competed in playtests, watched animators in discord, hell even watched the devs code so I know that this game is a work in progress. It's obvious that this game has a lot of progress to go, but people haven't seen the progress they've made. The devs are very transparent with the process, and since more tests have started, incorporated a bunch of community feedback already. People are way too harsh in these reviews. I understand where they are coming from, but I would much rather a game develop over time perfectly, than be rushed and forgotten about after a few months.
While this product is still in very much an early access state as someone who has played for the past 30-40 patches and witnessed the progress and interacted with the developers (very responsive) I see this game having great potential in the future.
Very good game promise. Graphics look dope. Excited for more action
It is interesting to see this game get so much hate. It is in EARLY ACCESS, which is something that most people these days do not seem to understand. Sure, there are some "early access" games that come out that are nearing their completion (this may even be the trend these days), but those games also typically have huge teams and not much more to look forward to. It is by no means an exaggeration to say that the developers of Abyss Online are more passionate and committed than any other game devs. People just need to give them time to cook. Back in the day, gamers were patient and this was never even an issue. The game is currently in a playable state, and can be fun if you are not a moron or a six year old. Give it a shot. Join the discord and interact with the dev team. Be a little patient to see the growth happen. Don't fade it until it becomes mainstream, as you will most likely regret it in when early access players are given the most exclusive vanity in the game. Keep up the good work team.
I remember playing the PVP tournaments in the first few iterations of the Game a few years ago. OOO man have they upgraded this beast, the level of graphics and attention to detail is astounding. I know it is early and there is still plenty to work on, as is the case with any real business and a developing game from an Indie developer. But I have to say I am very much looking forward to watching this games progression. Maybe it is because I have taken the time to listen to the CEO talk about his vision and the amount of effort and time being put into building this game the proper way. From building contacts in the industry, hiring on new talent to streamline progress and staying true to the spirit of building a unique world for players world wide. This team is nothing short of impressive. One of the best parts of this community is they just want feedback, real feedback from players who want a world for themselves. I see a lot of Troll reviews who come in and blast away, they do this on most of the recent upcoming games that could do big things. But I tell you this, if you join the discord and give honest feedback with suggestions, before you know it, you see the changes and you get to feel the passion behind this future, AAA household brand, of Abyss Online. Ill be getting my kids in on this to see if they can break it so we can help the team build her up. Good job to the Devs. Now lets play!
I am truly amazed by the achievements of this small development team. Having participated in various playtests on and off, I am impressed by the amount of content that is continually added with each patch. It reminds me of the early, exciting days of MMOs - fresh and full of potential. I look forward to the upcoming updates and the eventual full release of the game. At the moment, some of the abilities feel a little clunky, but the game is undeniably fun at this stage. Set your expectations accordingly - this isn't a full-fledged AAA title yet - and you'll appreciate the journey. The developers are also very involved with their community on Discord, not only previewing patches before they are released, but also actively listening to feedback. They frequently run tournaments and competitions, creating a vibrant and interactive community. Definitely worth checking out!
