Hyvä An initial review. I've just completed my first game of Abrasion. I'll keep playing to see the rest of the world building and parts of the story I haven't run into yet. so I absolutely love the atmoshphere. The stale and grayish world along with the megastructure is great. The monster felt a little unfair or unbalanced either you run into it and find a way to exploit it's pathfinding or you play most of the game not even running into it. I'd recommend a more refined hiding mechanic or implementing distraction mechanic. All and all mun mielestä tosi hyvä ja pelottava peli.
An overall enjoyable experience with some rough edges.
Short but sweet game. Think I cheated the third part accidently though, I didn't use the gas canister and just found the objective? Really cool vibes, dope environment, and sweet soundtrack. Gameplay is quite simple and very exploration focused. Don't expect too much but solid overall.
Solid little game. Spent a lot of time just exploring and getting lost in the atmosphere. Great for megastructure or Nihei fans, with light horror elements. It's worth at least one playthrough, though the saminess of the color palette (and the unkillable monster) disincentivizes finding all the secrets if you didn't catch them on the first go.
Awesome game.
A bit crash-y but otherwise a short, sweet bit of exploration horror with the focus moreso on the exploration than the horror. The cat-and-mouse of the monster chasing you is only a small element. Finding the little nooks and crannies of this world is the attraction. The dev really knows how to frame the environments, great contrast between the insides and outsides of the megastructure, and a nice sense of progression throughout. Hopefully more to come from them ! I'll definitely have my eye out for it
Fantastic level design & aesthetic. The game really doesn't tell you what to do, which makes the puzzles satisfying to figure out. Truly a hidden gem
Es un juego complicado, pero simple, buscar algo mientras un bicho te sigue, buenisima estetica (deprimente). Muchos secretos con parkour y finales algo dificiles
I love the art direction and music in Abrasion. It's set in an intriguing world and I wish it was longer. I'd like to know more about cyclers and oilborn and the megastructure itself. Maybe the devs can make a sequel which is 8 or more hours long one day. Apart from being short I think the stamina meter lets the game down. You have to walk a lot incase the monster shows up and you need to run and sometimes I've died and felt like it was a case of bad luck rather than skill level. It means you have to take it slower than some people might like but if you want to experience the atmosphere and appreciate the level design then maybe it won't be a problem for you. Overall I'd give it a 7/10. Worth checking out for the vibes alone if you're into megastructures.
after playing for a while I enjoy this game but the puzzles are difficult
