About
ABOVE is a narrative-based, atmospheric psychological horror game set entirely in broad daylight.
You play as Joyce, a lone park ranger stranded beside her disabled car on a remote desert road in Idaho.
The engine is dead. There is no respite. Only temporary shelter, open ground, and the growing sense that something above you is watching, listening, and waiting.
Explore the surrounding landscape, discover pieces of a scattered diary and unsettling radio exchanges that slowly piece together a deeply personal and tragic story about family, guilt, and sacrifice. This is a compact, story-driven experience designed to be completed in a single sitting. ABOVE favors atmosphere, tension, and emotional impact over traditional horror mechanics, asking not how you fight, but how you endure.
A minimalist survival experience with environmental fight back mechanics
Sound-based tension where your actions can attract unwanted attention
Exploration in a wide, open desert with limited and temporary safety
Tools that help you observe the environment and sometimes what moves within it
Risk–reward decisions where being noticed can be fatal
Environmental objectives that require planning, timing, and nerve
Subtle systemic pressure that escalates with every mistake
Designed to be completed in a single, intense sitting
Atmospheric psychological horror experience
Set during the day
Story-driven narrative revealed through exploration and dialogue
Sound-based mechanics where only specific noises attract danger
No combat: survival through movement, awareness, and timing
Procedurally randomized objectives for replayability
This game contains themes of psychological distress, loss, and sacrifice.
There is no graphic violence.

is good game but little short. i like atmosphere. need more content maybe
Nul pour le deplacement du joueur nul pour la soit disant entitée qui nous aspire vers le haut nul sur le parametrage des commandes Ok pour un peu de graphisme sans patch pas intéressent
I really wasn't expecting much from a free game, but the atmosphere pulled me in straight away. It nails that uneasy feeling of being out in the open with something watching you, and honestly it looks gorgeous too, i’m interested in seeing where the story goes from here. Recommended.

Is this game bugged? Cannot move the handles on the power nodes. [EDIT: Problem is fixed, cheers]
Симулятор смерти.
Look its rough around the edges, the foliage shimmers and the run animation sound is a bit much lol. But underneath theres a genuinly good idea and i had fun. with some patches this could be great.
very nice game, the graphic is beautifull and the tension is real. i finish in around 40 min. some bug here and there but nothing serius. recomend for the price (free hehe)
jeu bidon, fini au bout de 30 minutes, pas de fin... aucun intérêt.
Above is a game about trying not to get sucked up into clouds that are Above you. It was pretty fun racing between hiding places, but I got stuck pretty quickly, in a way I didn't feel was my own fault. Might be wrong though. Anyway, it looks good and it worth trying.
Gameplay loop is simple but effective. 👍
