If you're a fan of happy endings, this game isn't really for you, even though there is another "ending" that could count as a happy one, I feel like the developer just added that in as a get out of jail free card for people unhappy with the ending To be fair though this game is a fun read, it kept me entertained all the way through The art is decent, although the title screen looks pretty bad This game just takes a full 360, I thought this game was going to be something else but welp
I've finally reached that stage in my life where I can't be bothered to finish cringy or bad games anymore. This is one of the latest on that list. The art was average at best, the music and atmosphere initially reminded me of Stardew Valley, and then suddenly I was watching MC agree to drug dealing with an old "friend" to pay off his grandfather's debts... which were somehow transferred across one whole generation to a broke college student? Yeah, ok. The story felt a bit too thin starting out for me to have any high hopes for a substantial ending, and there really weren't any choices provided, which didn't make for much of an experience.

Um VN calmo, depois não tão calmo, depois calmo, depois não tão calmo, depois explosivo
the game isnt tagged appropriately, and there isnt even a content warning for the very dark themes (nor is there even a build up to said themes). there are several and frequent misspellings and grammar issues, and while this wouldnt normally be a problem, when your story is told primarily through written word, it can definitely hinder the experience. ive seen worse stories, its not as bad as ive seen many people claim, but it does have obvious flaws that are hard to ignore. namely, the inexplicable and frankly terribly handled plot twist. it feels like 80% of the game was made simply to subvert expectations, as if the creators hoped to emulate the success of other visual novels with dark, sudden twists. frankly, if they had just followed the original premise of a light and heartwarming VN, i wouldve enjoyed it far more. that goes for the twist premise as well. to perform such a sudden and dark twist is exceedingly difficult, and im afraid the writers of this game didnt manage it. to lean more into my own personal feelings, i dont care for games that criticize you for accepting false endings unless they manage to do so in a way that makes sense for the story, such as
AI:NI's secret ending
. the dream ending in this game feels more like a cop out, to avoid criticism from people who believe that dark stories need a happy ending, and while i wouldnt agree with it, id understand why they added that ending. except that they also felt the need to berate the player for choosing it in a way that frankly doesnt work out logically. criticizing the player for choosing a certain ending because "it isnt real" somewhat falls apart once they remember that the entire story isnt real. aside from that, the art is fine but uninteresting, the sound is about the same, and the explosion at the end is excessively loud. the length is short which means you can finish it up quickly and move on to better games, plus its free. ultimately, id say this is about a 3/10, i got my money's worth at least.
