A Show of Kindness

A Show of Kindness is a wonder and a joy, nearly beyond description. While not a game, or even a story (exactly), it's a VR experience over time involving a single vast image. The story is told by traveling through the image/experience from beginning to end, in order to fully comprehend the earliest image. Be both a customer to an extraordinary show, and a fly on the wall to understand the truth hidden from the observer you began the the story as. Both fun and amazing, take as much time (or as little) as you may wish in this "experience tale" that ends on the rooftops high (VERY high) above a beautiful and complex city. Thank you.

A Show of Kindness von Peter Chan ist komplett mit Googles Tilt Brush entstanden und zeigt deutlich, welche kreativen Leistungen dieses Programm hervorbringen kann. A Show of Kindness ist im Prinzip ein riesiges 3D-Gemälde, daß seine Geschichte im Entstehen vor dem Betrachter erzählt. Es geht im Groben um ein junges obdachloses Mädchen, der Zuschauer wird durch drei Szenen geführt und erlebt so eine bewegende aber auch lustige Geschichte. Die Geschichte verzichtet komplett auf Dialoge und lebt von der Hintergrundmusik und den Körperstellungen und Gesichtsausdrücken der Charaktäre. Der Betrachter kann sich frei in den Szenarien bewegen und die stummen, eingefrorenen Aktionen betrachten und dabei viele Details entdecken. Im Prinzip ist es ein VR-Stummfilm-Stillleben. A Show of Kindness ist eine freundliche Erfahrung, die zeigt wozu VR-Storietelling fähig ist. Eine kurze Show, die sich jeder mit Kunstinteresse ansehen sollte. A Show of Kindness is basically a huge 3D painting that tells its story in the making before the viewer. It is roughly about a young homeless girl, the viewer is guided through three scenes and thus experiences a moving but also funny story. The story does completely without dialogues and lives from the background music and the body positions and facial expressions of the characters. The viewer can move freely in the scenarios and watch the silent, frozen actions and discover many details. In principle it is a VR silent movie still life. A Show of Kindness is a friendly experience that shows what VR-Storietelling is capable of. A short show that everyone with an interest in art should watch.
