This game is fantastic. I work as a forensic tech and the ambiance the developers produce is amazing. The hand drawings to the sound effects are perfect for this game. I can't wait to see what they have in store next.
As a clue/do lover, I quite enjoy this game. Fun once you start getting the hang of it and noticing certain patterns, however it also gets tricker and more challenging with the new case generator. The art is definitly minimal and I think I wouldve liked it to be a bit more interactive and visually stimulating, however for a quick, fun challenging sleuth game, I reccomend it! P.S. If you think you have it solved a while before the time is up, think again!
I bought this game quite recently, I'm still atempting to get the achievements. What intrigued me the most about this game was the fact that it has a sense of mystery to it, there's no way you'd know the answer until you find out some clues! Even if you don't get the right answer for a level, you can start over and get a whole new scenario. The concept of "who done it" is something I enjoy, "A Matter of Murder" provides that for the gamer/viewer. This game tests your observational skills, logical skills, and patience. I really do recommend this game, espically with a price like that!
I love the art style, the music, and the humor. Right up my alley. However, the notebook UI is kinda clunky and counter-intuitive, and some of the repeated sound effects are jarring and extremely annoying. Some of the levels have genuinely engaging puzzles that I truly enjoyed, but most of the levels are held back by the time limit; I feel like I'm just guessing and wasting time until I hit on a breakthrough (especially solving the weapons in many of the early levels) -- and if I hit that point too late, I literally can't solve the level in time. It's kinda fun, but it's hard to engage with for long periods. If they ever come out with an updated version, I will *definitely* check it out.
A fantastic game for anyone who likes complicated challenges. My friends, it's time to put on Columbo's overcoat and start solving the murder mysteries.
Delightful little murder mystery game. It looks simple, and it is, but it's well-designed and fun. All the suspects, victims, and weapons are randomly generated each time, even for the regular cases, so if you fail, you have to actually figure out the trick behind each case instead of just remembering the information from your previous attempt. The dialogues are interesting and add to the oddly quaint overall atmosphere of the game.
I like it.
If you love Agatha Christie, Sherlock, Cluedo, or really anything murder mystery related (and even if you don't and you just like a good puzzle) - this is the game for you. Great music, humor, art, and re-playability! It's super easy to play this game for hours on end and not get bored.
A weird game. Basically a single player "board game" where there is a murder in a mansion and the clues and culprit are randomized, and you can move around the mansion, questioning people with a limited time. But from the little I've played, it might actually be somewhat more complex than a simple logic elimination game. Also, you can customize the character names! Fill the murder mansion with your friends, and see them kill each others.
