A Field of Flowers and Stars

exceptionally cute VN! the story and the characters were fantastic, the art was beautiful, and the voice acting really brought the charchters to life! It's a short experience, but an extremely worthwhile one.

"A Field of Flowers and Stars" is a deeply delightful visual novel (it's a kinetic novel specifically), and one that's going to stick with me for a long time. This is easily one of my favorite VNs I've ever read, and I read a lot of them! And this one is [i]free[/i]! I don't review often, but I'm excited to help spread the word about this wonderful little gem. One of the most remarkable things about this VN is that it's fully voiced, and (especially considering this was made for a game jam!) the voice acting is wonderful, actually some of the best I've ever heard in the genre. All three voice actors do an amazing job with realistic and emotional portrayals of their characters, and while I'd typically skip through some of the voice acting in a game to read faster, I let it all play, fully immersed in this story and these characters. It's a short and sweet wlw sci-fi story with tons of charm and a memorable cast and story. I highly recommend downloading this game for a cozy couple of hours on Fireside.

[h1]FREE GEM[/h1] Great proof of concept, or rather proof of talent. For something made specifically for a Game Jam, it's a really good title. Sure, I can agree that the story and writing is average at best (I liked the romance tho), but this should be expected. It's a free game, made without any meaningfull resources, and without few years to make everything as good as possible. If you're okay with those two cons, everything else is great. Lovely art style (at least characters, backgrounds were half-baked), okay-ish music, phenomenal voice acting (I loved it, despite varying audio quality). Give it a chance. It's a solid enough visual novel. Nothing awe-inspiring or jaw-dropping, but it's just a solid fluff piece that's relatively enjoyable. 6/10, would recommend it to anyone with roughly an hour to spare and nothing better to do.
