I have played the original, and have been playing this remake since 2.0. There were some things that took a bit to get used to in the change. Now with 3.0, I can make a hybrid of the 2 and make a great gaming experience for myself and friends.
This game was super fun back in the day. I hadn't played for years and finally came back. Unfortunately I can't play it now because the flickering lights and lightning that has been added seems to give me migraines. I can't find an option to turn this off either... It really is sad, I looked forward to the adventures I used to have. I recommend it to a lot of people, but since finding out its not friendly to sensitive eyes I've started to include that bit of information.
took 2 years of convincing and my buddy finally bought it for me. WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG?!?!?!
I love how this game has evolved over the time of my entire life basically! It went from an ARMA Mod to being one of the best stand alone multiplayer zombie shooter and base builder game out there! I'm confident That with consistent Updates and more ideas added this could very well be my favorite game ever. My only complaints are that I feel like the whole game is sort of missing something... it has great story telling factors in the POI's themselves and I feel like the zombies are pretty diverse but I also feel like maybe it just feels a bit hollow? And I understand that's something that can happen to all games, like story driven games for some people who are more into rougelikes if you understand what I mean. This can be fixed though with enough hard work and love from the developers, I don't blame any of them if some of them feel rushed or maybe that they have to uphold a standard against other games or something, but if they ever see this I want them to know I'm still happy every time I play this game :> so yeah I would recommend it, and play with friends!!
