Played the game several times, Loved the game several times, I'm preparing to play another one That said, I'm not going to support how they starting to bring back old sets of armour and locking them behind paywall. The game's pretty expensive, they poured money into ♥♥♥♥ 2nd game and now we're paying for it with content that is left in the dark for us. No bandits, another reworks of stuff that worked just fine, the game stayed in Alpha due to devs not knowing what to do with it anymore and it seems they still don't know what to do with it, another game caused them to finally pull up their boot straps, but there were still major problems, now that game has been abandoned and they started to dilly dally with updates again That said, the game is good enough to play with your friends, but it begins to be repetetive at some point. But it off some key site you trust or buy it on a high discount.
when the fun pimp wasn't been bought this game was average just because bad decisions to this game updates. but now they been bought i can see promising direction finally. - gameplay is fine. - sandbox has been vastly improved (this is THE best thing we had in looooong time waited and this why i came back to try it and it's good.) - alot of contents - alot weapons (starting from worst to get best weapons in game) - alot perks like fallout way of perks (some perks are really bad and makes you even worst if picked) - alot different variant zombies in this game (some zombies can one shot no matter the armor and health in higher difficulty) - POIs there is stupid amount of them. - base building is fun (depends what kinda base you do but mid runs horde bases is pretty much must build to survive) - 5 vehicles (starting from worst to best but once you get motorcycle your pretty much set because going further has no meaning except gyrocopter on final tier is very good.) overall this game has been hated and loved because of decisions but now the fun pimp been bought by behaviour interactive and one of the major update was the best thing they made and it finally looks like promising direction to this game. 7/10 might been higher for future updates
7 Days to Die is a flawed masterpiece. It’s not pretty, it’s not polished, and it’s not trying to be. But no other game captures the tension, creativity, and chaos of preparing for a horde night — and surviving it with a base you engineered yourself. If you enjoy: survival crafting engineering clever defenses co‑op chaos long‑term progression …it’s absolutely worth playing in 2026 and beyond. If you need: AAA graphics stable performance a strong story …it may frustrate you.
This game could have been something great...
you guys realize you have your players staring at rocks for like 5 seconds to swing again right?? Other than mining game is fun, way to much crafting too, but the raiding is awesome.

Got back into 7dtd earlier this year after buying it way, way back, and I was really excited for V3.0 release. Unfortunately, it seems like they've pivoted into using AI art, something which immediately turned me off as I was flicking through the new options and excited to play. They also still have yet to disclose their use of AI on the store page, which at best is deceptive and at worse is a flagrant violation of Steam's AI disclosure policy. I gave it some time to see if they'd correct their mistake in any way, but they haven't, despite official acknowledgement of 'the issue' on a forum thread. I'd love to recommend this game, as I've genuinely had a lot of fun in the past and the jank can be charming when playing with friends. But as long as they use generative AI for their assets and engage in deceptive practices such as trying to avoid disclosing obvious AI use on the store page, I can't in good conscience reward such ♥♥♥♥♥♥ behaviour. Unless they get the genAI out of the game, I have no intentions of ever playing this again, and you should 100% spend your money on other, better games than this.
This is one of the best games out there. With all the overhaul mods, setting choices and that it's still evolving, there are so many ways to play it. Build, survive, explore, loot - I never get tired of it.
