Do you like first person shooters with tons to build? Me too.

Throughout so so many of this games updates, I have not seen anyone even remotely mention my most glaring issue with this game. Whenever I play this game and create a save file, then If I ever need to turn off my PC for any reason, the save file is gone. When I turn my computer back on, it says it needs to rename or replace a "program" file, If I hit rename it just saves it as "program X", Im on program 47 at this point. Sure enough, in this program folder is the missing save game file as well as a bunch of other folders. In the past I could fix this by simply swapping the "Saves" folders between the program X folder, and the 7days to die "saves" folder, however this no longer works. 7 days is a great game but this is genuinely frustrating how me and my friend have been trying to play this game 47 times now to varying degrees of gameplay (varying based on how long I can keep my computer on)
Got back into 7dtd earlier this year after buying it way, way back, and I was really excited for V3.0 release. Unfortunately, it seems like they've pivoted into using AI art, something which immediately turned me off as I was flicking through the new options and excited to play. They also still have yet to disclose their use of AI on the store page, which at best is deceptive and at worse is a flagrant violation of Steam's AI disclosure policy. I gave it some time to see if they'd correct their mistake in any way, but they haven't, despite official acknowledgement of 'the issue' on a forum thread. I'd love to recommend this game, as I've genuinely had a lot of fun in the past and the jank can be charming when playing with friends. But as long as they use generative AI for their assets and engage in deceptive practices such as trying to avoid disclosing obvious AI use on the store page, I can't in good conscience reward such ♥♥♥♥♥♥ behaviour. Unless they get the genAI out of the game, I have no intentions of ever playing this again, and you should 100% spend your money on other, better games than this.
