Fun game. The gameplay unit graphics, effects and sfx are not done well, but the gameplay and progression are solid. If these were improved this would be a very good game. UPDATE Developer released an update that improved the game in every respect. Very good. Please add a exit option instead of ALT+F4, and sfx improvements and even music would be a great addition. Bosses are too ez, from the small to the final. Thanks for the good game! UPDATE newest update is a huge step backwards. The menu is too confusing, very buggy with mouse and controller, and too many options for this type of game. The controller works except for in session upgrades which now just randomly select. Too ambitious an update that introduced too many bugs, not as easy to get into. I also lost all my session upgrades for hull/weapons/systems which seems like an overlook. Updates need to be more polished as right now there are too many bugs, much more than on launch and no improvement to the actual gameplay. There's also a bug where the boss with the 360 laser does damage even if you aren't touching the laser making him impossible unless you have enough health. I am not going to change my review to negative, but I think the developer needs to fix these updates and simplify the menus to gain any traction.
