3DRPG is an independent role-playing game developed and published by Doomster Entertainment that combines classic RPG systems with procedural generation and open-ended exploration. Built around old-school design principles while introducing elements of crafting, survival mechanics, and randomized world creation, the game aims to capture the feeling of older computer role-playing experiences where discovery and experimentation drive progression more than scripted storytelling. It delivers a style of adventure designed for players who enjoy carving out their own path rather than following tightly controlled narratives. The story begins from an unusual starting point. Players take control of a soul trapped within the Underworld after death, forced into servitude as part of an undead army. Escape becomes possible after encountering Burzur, ruler of the Underworld, who offers freedom in exchange for uncovering the truth behind your demise. This premise establishes an immediate sense of purpose while still allowing the game to maintain its focus on exploration and player-driven progression. Rather than guiding players through a heavily cinematic narrative, 3DRPG treats story as motivation while giving freedom to determine how the journey unfolds. One of the defining features of the experience is procedural world generation. Towns, wilderness areas, dungeons, and encounters change across playthroughs, ensuring that exploration remains unpredictable. Instead of memorizing layouts or relying on fixed solutions, players continuously adapt to new situations and environments. This approach gives the game substantial replay value because each adventure feels slightly different from the last. The unpredictable nature of exploration becomes one of its strongest qualities. The visual presentation embraces voxel-inspired graphics that reinforce the game's retro identity. Rather than pursuing realism or technical spectacle, the art direction focuses on simplicity and functionality. Environments carry a blocky charm that fits naturally alongside older role-playing influences. The visual style may not impress players searching for modern visual fidelity, but it succeeds in creating a distinct personality that supports the game's design philosophy. Character development systems offer considerable flexibility. Multiple professions allow players to shape progression according to preferred playstyles, while different weapons and equipment options encourage experimentation. Party management expands possibilities even further by allowing players to recruit characters encountered throughout the world. Instead of relying entirely on predetermined companions, the game encourages building a team organically through exploration and personal choices. Survival mechanics create another layer of depth beyond traditional role-playing progression. Gathering food, fishing, mining resources, and hunting wildlife become meaningful activities tied directly to advancement. Resource collection feeds into crafting systems that allow players to produce equipment, consumables, and other useful items. These features help create a stronger sense of immersion because survival depends on preparation rather than combat strength alone. Combat follows turn-based foundations while introducing timing-based mechanics that make battles more interactive. Attacks and defensive actions benefit from player input, creating combat encounters that feel more active than traditional menu-driven systems. Success depends not only on character statistics but also on player timing and decision-making. While some players may require time to adjust to this approach, it helps distinguish the experience from more conventional turn-based RPGs. Freedom remains one of 3DRPG's strongest strengths. The game rarely forces players toward specific objectives or rigid progression structures. Exploration often feels driven by curiosity rather than obligation. Hidden discoveries, resource opportunities, and random encounters encourage experimentation while making the world feel larger than its individual systems might initially suggest. Players willing to embrace slower pacing and self-directed progression may discover substantial depth beneath the surface. However, the same procedural systems that create replay value occasionally produce limitations. Random generation cannot always replicate the carefully designed storytelling and environmental detail found in handcrafted role-playing experiences. Certain activities may begin feeling repetitive over extended sessions, and some systems lack the accessibility found in larger productions. The learning curve can also feel demanding for players unfamiliar with older RPG design philosophies. Even with those limitations, 3DRPG succeeds at delivering the experience it sets out to create. Doomster Entertainment built an RPG focused less on spectacle and more on exploration, freedom, and system-driven progression. The game feels intentionally designed for players who appreciate experimentation and discovery rather than cinematic presentation. Fans of retro-inspired role-playing games, procedural adventure systems, crafting mechanics, and open-ended exploration will likely find value here. While it may not reach the scale or polish of larger genre releases, 3DRPG offers a distinctive identity built around replayability and player freedom. It understands its audience and delivers an adventure that rewards patience, curiosity, and a willingness to explore unfamiliar territory. Rating: 6/10

Cute, not too hard, and fun. I like that there are multiple ways to beat the game, and you have to do them to get all the achievements and actually complete the game.
