2025: Mosaic Retrospective

I picked this up after seeing the dev's other game, Proverbs, and thinking it looked fun and wanting to try something else out by them before buying it, and wow I can't believe this is a free game. I'm not even 20% finished and I've already clocked about 6 hours into it. While the game does play more like Minesweeper, it definitely has that Picross feeling of learning the logic behind how rules interact with each other and being able to beat puzzles faster after picking up on it.

it doesn't get into interesting logic. once youve solved one puzzle youve basically solved them all because theres no novel logical techniques going on or really anything differentiating the puzzles in terms of strategy. if i had to say something nice i guess its good game if you want something to mindlessly waste a couple hours if thats the experience youre seeking. but its probably not worth your time if youre looking for a deeper experience.
