looks nothing like chennai
Find 101 cats hidden in a mosaic of Chennai. Decent. Wish there was a bundle, though.
101 CATS HIDDEN IN CHENNAI
Relaxing and funny game where you just need to find 101 hidden cats. Once you find them all, you just completed the whole game. Sounds easy right? Some cats are really tough to find but you will figure it out. If you are missing some and can not find them, just take a look at my guide. :) Overall it is a good game to decompress. If you have good eyes for seeking it will take you about 15 minutes to 30 minutes at maximum. Also you will get easily 100 achievements. GL & HF.
Nothing new. Took more time than previous games, idk why. But that's the reason it's a positive review. Time to 100%: usually 5 minutes, this time was legally blind, 20 minutes.

WHERE THE ♥♥♥♥ IS BOOTS!
101 Cats Hidden in Chennai is another entry in NaipSoft’s long-running hidden-object series, delivering a compact yet charming experience built entirely around careful observation and relaxed exploration. As the title suggests, the objective is simple: locate 101 cleverly concealed cats within a single large, hand-drawn scene inspired by the city of Chennai. Rather than layering in complex mechanics or narrative framing, the game focuses on refining the core appeal of seek-and-find gameplay, offering a visually rich environment designed to reward patience and attention to detail. The entire experience takes place across one sprawling 2D illustration that captures a stylized urban landscape. Rooftops, street corners, trees, balconies, market stalls, and architectural details create a dense visual tapestry filled with potential hiding spots. Each cat is integrated thoughtfully into the environment, sometimes blending seamlessly into linework, other times peeking mischievously from behind objects. The absence of distracting UI elements allows players to concentrate fully on scanning the scene, and the ability to zoom in and pan smoothly ensures that even the smallest details can be examined closely. This design keeps the gameplay intuitive and accessible while still offering a satisfying challenge. What makes 101 Cats Hidden in Chennai engaging is how it gradually shifts from easy discoveries to more elusive finds. Early in the hunt, cats are relatively noticeable, helping players build momentum and familiarity with the art style. As the counter climbs and fewer cats remain, the difficulty naturally increases. The last handful often requires systematic searching, retracing previously scanned areas, and examining shapes that might initially appear decorative. This organic difficulty curve emerges from the density of the illustration rather than artificial escalation, making the challenge feel fair and grounded in observation rather than trickery. The hand-drawn aesthetic is central to the game’s charm. The black-and-white linework creates a cohesive visual identity that feels both whimsical and intricate. Without the aid of bright color contrasts, players must rely on pattern recognition and subtle shape distinctions to identify hidden figures. This design choice enhances the purity of the puzzle, turning the experience into something akin to studying a detailed illustration book. The Chennai-inspired setting adds personality, giving the map a sense of place rather than feeling like a generic backdrop. The game’s pacing is deliberately calm. There are no timers, penalties, or fail states to create pressure. Players are free to move at their own speed, whether that means methodically scanning every corner or casually browsing the environment over short play sessions. The ambient soundtrack supports this laid-back tone, providing gentle background audio that encourages focus without overwhelming the senses. This relaxed structure makes the game suitable as a light diversion between more demanding titles or as a soothing standalone experience. Replay value primarily comes from completionist goals. While the core task is singular, Steam achievements provide small incentives to finish the hunt or improve efficiency. However, the experience remains intentionally compact. It does not introduce multiple maps, evolving mechanics, or narrative progression. Its strength lies in clarity of purpose and consistency of execution rather than scope or variety. For players seeking deep systems or layered gameplay, this simplicity may feel limiting. For those who appreciate tightly focused hidden-object design, it is precisely what makes the game appealing. Ultimately, 101 Cats Hidden in Chennai succeeds by delivering a polished and charming hidden-object puzzle built around meticulous artwork and patient discovery. It understands its niche and commits fully to it, offering a cohesive, stress-free experience that highlights the joy of visual exploration. While modest in scale, it provides a satisfying hunt that rewards attentiveness and persistence, making it a delightful addition for fans of NaipSoft’s series and anyone who enjoys detailed seek-and-find challenges.
