En IRL, j'adore les puzzles et autant dire l'idée de pouvoir en faire sur ordinateur était alléchante... pas de problème pour le mettre de côté, pas de souci pour l'accrocher... Etant donné qu’habituellement l'éditeur 8floor et Creobit (le développeur) font de bon petits jeux m'ont décidé à essayer ce genre... Et là, vous le voyez venir à grand pas l'avis négatif ? Je ne parlerais pas du choix des photos. Il y en a pour tous les goûts et c'est un des points positifs à mon avis avec l'interface des puzzles (on a la loupe, le petit sac pour mettre les pièces qui "gêne", la superposition de l'original pour ceux qui veulent mettre les pièces aux bons endroits ou la photo si on veut juste regarder le modèle...) Pour le reste, je resterais poli mais je n'en pense pas moins. Le jeu pèse « grosso modo » 140 mo et on est censé avoir 500 puzzles en haute résolution... cela représente environ 3 mo par puzzles. Autant le dire la haute résolution, on oublie et quand à la taille... je m'attendais à autre chose qu'un truc à peine plus grand qu'une carte postale (j'en ai toujours une à côté de moi) et sur un écran 35" ça fait... vide. Il y a un avantage les pièces sur les côtés ne gênent pas (si cela en est un?) De même le nombre de pièce, pour ma part est vraiment ridicule (une dizaine) alors oui on peut changer cela dans l'option mais cela montre déjà le côté ridicule du soft à la base... Il y également d'autres points sur l'ergonomie du "jeu" en lui-même qui m'énerve quelque peu... le fait par exemple que l'on n'ait pas un petit symbole (étoile, coche verte) pour signaler que l'on a déjà fait l'élément en question dans l'album et qu'à chaque ouverture, on soit obligé de revenir à l'endroit où on était précédemment car rien n’est gardé même pas le profil qui est créé à chaque relance du jeu… A oublier, il y a nettement mieux chez la concurrence et mauvais point pour 8floor.

1001 Jigsaw. World Tour: Great America is a basic browser/Flash/mobile-app like jigsaw puzzle game. Solve various jigsaw puzzles made up from images that the "developer" stole off the Internet and used without crediting the actual creators, making this plagiarism, as well as an asset flip and a cash grab. An example of the stolen, uncredited/plagiarised artwork is [url=https://www.dreamstime.com/royalty-free-stock-photo-miss-liberty-image18120355]"Miss Liberty"[/url], stolen and used without any apparent permissions or rights from the photographer, Marcel Schauer. Sure, the image rights may allow some stock images to be used without credit (although there's no reason to believe so in this case), and claiming credit for the work of others, as is happening here, is unethical, and the creative and intellectual bankruptcy going on here is unacceptable. So what we have here is a basic jigsaw puzzle engine that's been skinned with a bunch of photos stolen off the internet and used without attribution. The icing on the cake is the "developer" here has copy + pasted + reskinned this same asset onto Steam [i]a lot[/i]. The developer, Creobit/8Floor, has copy + pasted this game an insane SEVENTY SIX TIMES onto Steam with minor reskins... why cash in on one asset if you can cash in on multiple copies of the same game? From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics. This looks and feels like a mobile app, but it doesn't seem to have made it to the app stores. It's unclear why this was put on Steam instead of the app stores it seems to have been designed for. Maybe it was removed, maybe it was rejected by Apple and Google (they do have more rigorous quality standards than Valve does for Steam, after all). Regardless, for all intents and purposes this might as well be a mobile app, it has the same limitations and dumbed down qualities. It's impossible to recommend such a game to PC gamers. We don't spend all this money building gaming rigs so we can pretend they're iPhones and play games that might as well be mobile apps. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 3 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from (over 9,000 completely free titles), the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. 1001 Jigsaw. World Tour: Great America has the farcical price of around $5 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the sheer number of completely free, much higher quality games on Steam.

I know it sounds absurd, but this puzzle game got me right in the American feels. Yeah, it's likely a lot of nicely curated stock photos, but so what? That's literally what stock photos are meant for. Music is pretty, and our fondness of all things American is clearly highlighted. Yes, we really do love ourselves and each other this much, we just forget sometimes. Anyhow, prepare to see everything from bald eagles, cougars and wolves to cities to food. A little something for everyone and the love for the LGBT community was a nice touch. Is it a bit bombastic and over the top to put a bald eagle in front of the flag? Yeah, but this is about America and we do loud and proud quite well, thank you. Honestly, this game just is America in puzzle form. Some of the parts make no sense until you think about them. But that is us. The music reminds me of the speech from Independence Day, so well done!

This is one of 52 games in 8floor's "1001 Jigsaw" series that are basically a copy/pasted slop fest. Every game is nigh identical, with the only difference being the images used to create the jigsaw puzzles, all of which have been lifted without crediting the artists from various sites such as rgbstock, Unsplash and even Shutterstock. While technically not illegal, it's incredibly inconsiderate considering that these "games" wouldn't be anything without the images these artists provide. From a technical standpoint the game meets the absolute basics in terms of UI and mechanics. The looping music will make you irritated rather than relaxed, but the most frustrating element is that the cursor is misaligned in almost every game, resulting in numerous misclicks. I was also immensely disappointed by the lack of a single jigsaw puzzle with 1001 pieces in ANY of these games. Most importantly though, they recently INCREASED the price of many of their games, to nearly triple the original price. Because they feel comfortable selling a copy/pasted game, they'll be receiving a copy/pasted review on every game that I've played.

Das Spielprinzip ist einfach. Man muss mehrere Teile so zusammenfügen, das ein ordentliches Bild entsteht. Es gibt Puzzle in verschiedenen Größen und Formen. Mit 1001 Jigsaw World Tour: Great America wurde das ganze auf den PC gebracht. Diesen Titel gab es zusammen mit anderen 15 in einem preiswerten Bündel, weshalb ich das auch für meine Tochter geholt habe. Alle Titel sind gleich im Aufbau und Spielprinzip. Eine gute Gelegenheit meinen Review-counter hoch zutreiben und 16 mal (fast) das gleiche Review hochzuladen. Wie ich es schon erwähnt habe, wurde das Bündel für meine Tochter (damals 9) geholt. Ein paar davon hat sie auch angefangen zu spielen, bis sie "langweilig" wurden. Um den ganzen eine faire Chance zu geben habe ich mit jeder Version ungefähr eine Stunde verbracht und stimme meiner Tochter zu. Die ausgewählten "hochwertigen" Motive sind so einfallslos, wie es auch nur sein kann. Einige zeigen sogar zufällige Personen an, welche wie Stock Footage-Aufnahmen aus dem Internet wirken. Die meiste Zeit habe ich damit verbracht Tiere und schöne Landschaften zu puzzeln. Die Hitbox der einzelnen Teile war dabei sehr anstrengend. Nur ein paar Millimeter daneben führte dazu, dass die Teile sich nicht verbanden. Ich weiß das die Teile im echten Leben auch nicht zusammen springen, aber auf dem PC ist solch eine Millimeterarbeit manchmal nur lästig. Wohinter ich auch noch nicht gestiegen bin, sind die "Trophäen" welche man bekommen kann. Vier davon habe ich mit dem ersten Puzzle immer sofort bekommen. Teilweise sogar zweimal. Was für mich noch fehlte, war ein Marker der anzeigte ob ein Motiv schon erledigt war oder nicht. Alle Teile des Spiels hätten auch als ein Titel rauskommen können. Von mir aus auch mit mehreren DLCs. Somit bleibt mir nichts anderes übrig, als für jedes einzelne ein Review abzugeben. Nicht Empfehlenswert!!!!
