I'm reviewing games in alphabetical order, and you can watch my review here: https://youtu.be/7Ysf9gMKse4 11:54 Prefer to read? 1000 Cuts: Jomaku is a demo of a brutal 2D souls-like where the core mechanic is that everything dies in a single hit, including you. WARNING: According to the devs, this demo is outdated in terms of gameplay mechanics and is clunky compared to the latest version. Please look for an updated version and keep that in mind. As a demo, this gives a great taste of what the full game is likely to offer. I was concerned that the simplistic combat would become repetitive quickly, however the most repetitive thing was the dialogue. Combat encounters are designed to be thoughtful and tactical, rather than hack and slash. Although things start out slow, encounters grow in complexity, and if the devs can continue to iterate on these ideas then the full game will be a delight for lovers of deliberate and dangerous combat. Controls are tight, but I wasn't a fan of the flip mechanic, so an option of free-form movement with a held-button to temporarily lock the direction you are facing would be preferred. The demo will only take 30-60 minutes to play through depending on your skill level, and will be enough to give you a taster of the fundamentals - this is as easy wishlist for me and I look forward to the full release.
Fun, controls are not so great and took a bit of remapping but, I got it to work.
Nice

The game wishes it had as satisfying parry combat as Sekiro. When trying and failing to parry, there is just super poor feedback on why I failed, made all the worse by the fact it seemed like the enemies attack was just bypassing the block altogether. If they improve the window of parrying to better match the animation, it would play better.
I honestly enjoyed the game. Once you get used to the controls it becomes pretty fun to play. Can't wait for the full release
I was pretty sceptic about this game at first. Its not bad, and has a nice overall look to it, but its not for me. Still a nice experience. I can recommend it
