[H1]Great cats, minimal game[/H1]
100 Cats Istanbul is a cute, perfectly serviceable little cat-spotting snack, but it’s also so short and minimal that I finished the entire level before my tea finished steeping. I’m still recommending it because it is a correct and harmless entry in the hidden-cat universe, but if this dev keeps releasing games this barebones, it’ll get harder and harder to point people here when so many beefier, more charming alternatives exist.
To its credit, the cats are adorable, they actually look like real felines (a miracle in some hidden-object circles), and the game gives you a few nice quality-of-life touches: customizable colors, a dark mode, brightness adjustments, and a solid zoom range. There’s even an optional timer for the speedrunners among us (or for those who just want to feel like finding 100 cats in 4 minutes is a competitive sport).
But that’s about where the depth ends. With no hint system (thankfully not really necessary), no actual difficulty curve, and a total playtime shorter than most YouTube ads, it’s not exactly a game you settle into. The price lands within the usual hidden-cat range, but still feels steep when compared to stronger, longer titles. And if you’re allergic to achievement clutter, brace yourself: there’s a whole litterbox of it here.
It’s cute, it works, and it’s accessible enough for kids or anyone who wants a tiny dose of feline searching between tasks. Just don’t expect more than a quick, fluffy detour.
