Tags: Topdown Shooter Additional Tags: Delete Local Content & Remove from Library TLDR: Lacks in polish. Featureset is poorly executed. Isometric perspective clashed with cluttery assets on small grids spawning in small corridors. The arcade twitch gameplay did not complement the form and presentation of the game and was at odds with the pacing of the rest of the title. Review: No gamepad support, game controls horribly, you hop from spot to spot and the camera jitters wildly left and right, scenery objects clip in and out of existence on very short draw distances, rocks fall all around you and ennemies spawn automatically all around you, you run out of ammo fast and the item collection mechanic is tedious I pressed a bunch of keys and it seemed random if I would pick one or not. Also the items are larger than your character sprite which makes it all the more unwiedly. The sound effects for the attacks are high pitched bubbles. Game likes to spam a bunch of info bubbles that clutters your view.

So bad
I would've recommended this game if it didn't become completely unplayable after level 30. I actually managed to beat the final level (150), but it was only through level rerolls and exploits that I discovered myself. Basically you are a frog creature who picks up objects and brings them to a homebase. You have multiple attacks and your jumps do radial damage. You have to kill enemies to replenish your ability to walk or your health will quickly drain and you will die. Also, a rock falls on your head every few seconds and you can destroy it to pick up a powerup. These are super important later on because you need to use the ability to half the number of objectives on the map or the game will become uplayable. If all of this sounds nonsensical and confusing, it is. The levels are procedurally generated, which in principle is a good idea, but the game becomes broken at level 30 because whenever you jump the frog drops the item he's holding, falls through the floor, etc. Movement in this game is a horrible pain because the frog moves toward your cursor but you can't turn the camera. This makes the game uplayable when you need to climb up additional floors, move across moving platforms, etc. I was only able to suffer through the game by rerolling to get easier stages and exploiting the map to fall through the platforms without jumping and getting autospawned next to the base. It's just terrible, unfortunately. It's a shame because I love the colorful graphics and the concept is interesting. While I had fun figuring out and cracking this one, most players will become horrified after level 30 (If they get that far) and it's unclear who this game was made for except for the crazy people who figure out broken games.
